Did’nt pass REG :/…….I put all four parts on one NTS, have FAR in 4 weeks. Do i just get another NTS for my retake? Can anyone help me out with what the next steps are…..

Yes but I was told if you get another NTS before taking all the other ones you will lose the other test fees. So you need to make sure you take the other test unless you dont care about giving up the fees. I just do one NTS at a time bc I found that the hard way!

I suggest waiting to see if you passed FAR before applying for another NTS, otherwise you may risk paying for two NTS application fees. Check your state board for more info.

I did what Johnny suggested and didn't apply for BEC until I found out about REG. That way I could apply for BEC and a REG retake on the same NTS if I needed to.

OP, you must live in one of those states where you get more than 6 months on your NTS. I wouldn't have been able to take tests on 2/25 and 8/30 on the same NTS. That's nice to have a little extra time. Looks like you're doing pretty well so far!

I'm in the same boat. I failed FAR with REG still left to go 4 weeks from now, and my NTS expires in the middle of September (blackout month). I'd like to retake FAR on October 1st, but I guess I won't know whether or not I've passed REG until around September 22nd. But I'm not sure where to start once I do get around to reapplying. I've been looking at the candidate bulletin, but I'm not sure where in the process I'm supposed to go back to. I sure hope I don't need to send in my transcripts again. Does anyone know what steps I need to take to get another NTS?

By the way, I'm a Californian resident going through the California Board of Accountancy.

Thanks for the help, I live in CA. The reapplication fee is now $25, not too bad i guess. I am taking FAR in four weeks, if i get another NTS I will lose the fee I spent? Or is that only if i dont sit for it??
