I was using wiley books and test bank. Went though each chapter, made some notes and flashcards just to remember the important things, did the mcqs and simulations from book and test bank. Reviewed the wrong ones and revised the notes.

I think i got confused with audit evidence and assertions, which took me down in the test.

Have a month before i retake it in october, i need to come up with a new study plan to crack it.

I would strongly suggest getting the NINJA MCQ. There were tons of questions I knew I had gotten right because essentially the same question was presented during my review. Best of luck; you're not alone.

I was about to post a new thread about what led to my 14 point increase for AUD. I received my first score 67 from exam taken on 5/24, score received June 6th. On June 7th I purchased NINJA MCQ's from June 7th to July 25th I did 61 hours, 4272 MCQ attempts, avg score 77%, Avg Trend score 90.33, All Sims at least once, none more than 3 times.

I used CPAexcel for 90% of studying the first time and got NINJA notes one week prior. On the second attempt I only used NINJA MCQ's. I would take questions I got incorrect and make notes about what I did not understand. Read those notes severl times a week, and each day did 180-240 MCQ's. Once I got to the review stage in the MCQ's, I printed my detailed progress report and focused on each section that I had lower than 80%. Took MCQ's and made notes about topics I struggled with. I felt I had a much better grasp on the BIG picture of Audits and the repetitive MCQ's helped solidify the facts.

To Jeff: THANKS FOR THE AWESOME MCQ'S!!!! Now can we please get that FAR book? 🙂

    AUD: 67, 81 (NINJA MCQ's ONLY for 2nd Attempt)
    FAR: NOT GOOD, LARRY!
    REG: ??
    BEC: 4/4/2015

Thanks a lot guys for all your advice

I think I need Ninja MCQs. As I already did wiley mcqs , I kinda remember the answers. I definitely need a new set of practice questions and focus more on what went wrong rather than what i got right.

I just have one more concern, I have never studied Auditing as I am an international candidate nor i have any experience in auditing. Do you guys think experience contribute to passing auditing exam. Was just reading all other posts regarding audit here to gather more info on what to do when you fail an exam and came across many such post where ppl have auditing experience and it was easier for them to clear it.

Ninja MCQs are awesome! I am taking audit in two days and have only focused on those during the last few days in my review. They're great.

I have no audit experience and remembered very little from the one college class I took. Try to focus understanding the topics. For a given MCQ, know why the correct answer is correct but also why the other three are incorrect.
