I failed it with a 74, 72, 73 before i finally passed with a 78. Keep studying and keep doing those MCQ's. Thats what everyone will tell you, because it works. Its your last exam keep at it!

To tell you that I completely understand how you feel is an understatement…. When I started this journey my daughter was 5 months old…. She is 2 years and 9 months old now. Bec was my last test pending and I was definitely almost giving up before this last attempt…. I just passed it with a 79!!!! BEC is the evilest of all of the exams, but don't let that discourage you!!!! My husband has been the greatest in the world and by what you are expressing in your comment your husband has been very supportive as well. I want you to know that you will pass this test!!!! Don't let this stupid 72 defeat you! You are stronger than that, raising a baby while studying is admirable and the fruits of your labor will be paid off soon. Giving up is not an option. If you want email me at my username kgr at hotmail dot com. I might have some tips that might help you!!!

Ha, I failed with a 72 too. I got a 70 the first time so I guess the good thing is my score improved a little. I'll probably try to retake it in July. I'm hitting the mcq's hard this time.

aww, I can tell just by your post that you are a fantastic mom! Don't be so hard on yourself!

Here are a few of the tips I've shared over the years.

    1. Its perfectly ok to read CPA review materials to your baby. She doesn't mind hearing about IT concepts she just wants mommy's voice. Sometimes speaking it aloud helps with memory too!

    2. If you have the ninja or wiley audio be creative. If daddy can watch baby while you're doing housework, listen to it on your ipod while you're vacuuming and folding laundry.

    3. DON'T feel guilty for getting a sitter or accepting family offers to watch baby so you can study. Even if you're already away from her for a full time job, a few hours of being spoiled by uncles/aunts/grandparents is ok!

    4. Use a crockpot. Its every bit as easy as microwaving something and healthier and tastier. Here's one quick & easy meal: put a pork roast in with 1c Orange Juice and 1/2 c “Craisins”. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Dinner is ready when you walk in the door!

    5. Cut corners wherever possible on housework. Use paper plates/cups, leave clean/folded laundry in a basket instead of running around putting it away. Its not forever and nobody will hold it against you, I don't think my family even remembers that crazy time now.

    6. Use the ninja notes and rewrite them multiple times. Thats how I finally passed AUD.

    7. Ask for a gift cert for housekeeping for birthday/mothers day/anniversary. Give yourself a break!

    8. Take a bit of time and do something for YOU. You will absolutely lose yourself if you're nothing else but a mom/wife/CPA candidate. Get a manicure or massage. That hour spent will re-energize you for WEEKS!

Good luck, you've got this. If I could do it, ANYBODY can!
