Guys, Does anyone have any tips how do you face your spouse when you fail three exams in a row? I am worried about not failing. Now what do i tell to my wifey and also family members.Dumb me . They dont understand the pain we CPA wanna-bees go through lol

offlineMemberBecause you may or may not have failed it's NOT because you are dumb.. it's because the AICPA gave you a really bad exam! They thought you were too smart to handle an easy exam.. so they gave you a really really really tough one.. it's hit or miss with these exams... My boyfriend looked at my book one day and he's like WHAT the hell are you doing? Why do you bore yourself with thi stuff? Is this in another language?
Give your wife and family the book.. and watch the expression on their face.. haha.. I'll never forget my boyfriends.. too funny!

Took BEC twice but both 73, improved in the areas from previous exam, and then got weaker on the areas that I previous strong at....what an offset as I look over the report...shaking my head
this discouragement is really stressing and upset....
at some point, i m intimidated by the exam....no guts to walk into the test center.....
Now need to face the 2011 changes which will be a huge torture....should i change career?AUD 74, 77

offlineMemberkobe- don't psych yourself out. it's over for now, you can't do anything about the 2 exam scores you have already gotten. learn from your mistakes though & study even harder for FAR which you have in 2 days and really go for it!
If you really want to be a CPA, changing careers is not even an option. don't worry about the career change, just worry about passing the exam. that's time better spent.

offlineMemberKobe and anyone else struggling... remember this - those professors you had in college and the people you work under now whether it be a manager or partner... Believe it or not, chances are they failed multiple times as well. You are not "dumb" because you did not pass. I remember reading a post from Jeff saying "be honest with yourself." A lot of times we do not put in the effort required to remember all of this stuff without a book. In the real world you will likely look things up to be certain or have your staff do it for you. I had a manager when I was in public who I thought was THE smartest person in the Audit field... want to know what she scored on the exam? less than a 50... take that in...
