FAR Becker practice exam vs actual score?

My second attempt at FAR is this Wednesday and I just took Becker’s “Final exam 1” My weighted average score was a 72.6. More importantly, since the simulations are not really comparable on Becker, the average for my MC testlets was 69%. Don’t want to take this thing again and I’m thinking about paying the 80 bucks to spend one more week on multiple choice questions. Possibly crank out 1000 questions and review more topics that I’m not strong on.

What are your thoughts/experiences with the Becker practice tests vs the actual exam?

I was right in the same ballpark for my FAR retake. I don't think I've ever scored higher than like a 70 on the practice exams, they are pretty tough. Sounds like you are at least in striking range but just get as much repetition in as you can until exam day. Good luck!

I remember my Becker score being higher than my actual of a 75. Then again I might have memorized some answers in Becker so that probably helped. Overall though I thought Becker was comparable to the actual test. Like you said keep going at the MCQs and try to get your average score above 70%.

Always thought practice exams are a waste of time – do just more MCQs/reading.

My other sections were more comparable, but I still felt I was doing a lot better on my Becker scores than I ended up doing on the real exam. But that is just me, I am not the best test taker, and anytime I get thrown a curve ball I struggle to take what I know and tweak it a little bit to fit what the question was asking. Plus just knowing I was doing Becker and could easily look up an answer or something made me feel better. The real test was definitely harder for me because of nerves so it makes sense that my Becker scores were normally always higher.
