Hi, my test is coming up in about two weeks, and I’m not done with the materials yet. Using becker.

I want to get an idea on how much time I should spend on F6 F8 F9 AND F10 based on your past experiences.

I heard F8 and F9 are heavily tested? How’s F6 pensions and F10? I plan to spend more time on F8 and F9, less time on F6 and F10. What do you think ?

Any suggestions are appreciated here! Thanks in advance

You NEED to know F8 and F9 for sure because that is potentially 20-25% of FAR so having an advantage there is really helpful heading to exam day. F6 is important you may see a sim on Pensions and maybe a question or two regarding to deferred taxes. I would also study F10, which is more of miscellaneous topics that pop up on your exam.

If I had to go from most need to least need study it's F8 & F9 must study, F6 study, F10 study because these are the little questions that can pass you on exam day. Hope that helps.

OH Boy.. very important lol, but if you need to pick and choose, complete 8 and 9 fully, then review pension especially how to calculate PBO. I would say Chapters 2, 5, 8, 9 hold the highest priority but you still need to know everything else.

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 ✔
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 ✔
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 ✔

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

All material is important because there is no way to predict the exam content and no two exams are exactly the same. Advising candidates to “skip” or “skim” material is essentially saying “Here is your next 74.” With two weeks remaining, you should now your weak spots and concentrate on those areas while reviewing all others. Gov't ,NFP and IFRS are crucial to passing FAR but they won't get you there by themselves.

    Good luck on FAR!
