I just want to give up and cry….. This will be my 3rd time taking FAR, and I just had a breakdown. I started to use Becker”s final review, and I nearly got every single question wrong. I took notes from the book, from the HW, and I still cant get it. Am I really this stupid? I really want to just give up, this shit is not worth my health or my well being.

    BEC: 73,78 79
    AUD: 60, 60, 70, 80
    FAR: 49, 64, 71, 82
    REG: 68, 68, 73, 78

    DONE.... OMGFG DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well 2 ethics tests to take.

Do not give up, I know exactly how you feel. This will be my 6th time taking FAR and after I lost BEC bc i missed FAR my 4th time, i literally had a break down just like you. Then afterwards I got mad and I just told myself I will not let this test dictate my future, because I know I'm good at what I do and this test will only reaffirm that I will overcome anything that comes my way. I passed BEC again and then got a 73 on FAR. Now I am PISSED and ready to be done, so I am taking it the 6th time. Many people on here have taken it multiple times, you are not stupid. These tests are difficult and look at how many people take them and the passing rates are rarely over 50% each quarter. You can do it! Have faith, because confidence is 50% of this psychological/life ruining process.

    BEC: 65 - 79* - 84 DONE
    AUD: 65 - 76 DONE
    REG: 63 - 77 DONE
    FAR: 65 - 63 - 67 - 69 - 73 - 71 - 83 DONE

It took me 5 attempts to pass FAR, so unless you failed 5 times, then you have no excuse to give up.

Admittingly, this is a very stressful test. I wish it was my last but unfortunately it is still my first. very frustrating…..Take a break, a nap, a walk or what ever it takes to regroup. But regroup…….You can do this…..we are all with you and looking for good success. So hang in there…..

    It begins with a 75

    AUD: 4 attempts

BEC: 5 attempts – Lost credit and had to pass it twice

    REG: 8 attempts

FAR: 8 attempts – Lost credit and had to pass it twice, too

    Time: 5 years

Cost: Well over $8,000 in testing fees, review courses, and travel expenses

Diagnosed with: Torn rotator cuff; ADD; stomach ulcers; stricture of the esophagus; thyroid cancer

    License: #27234

No where on my license does it say that I went through all of this. I didn't just “take” the CPA exam; I SURVIVED IT!

You aren't stupid, so stop saying that. You just need to find what works for you. I finally did and so have countless others. You know more than you think. You are just letting this test get inside your head and beat the hell out of your self esteem and confidence. Tell that little voice in the back of your head that keeps saying you don't deserve this or you aren't smart enough, to shut the hell up! If it doesn't shut up, then slap it into someone else's head! You can do this! The only way to fail is to quit.

Givinupandsad, I'm not going to tell you to just go for it and give you words of encouragement cause they have already done that here. If you were able to get at least a 2.5 gpa or above in college, you should be able to pass this test. See what works for you in terms of retaining information. This exam is just too long. You should try citicoline combine with phenylpiracetam and see if it works for you. Also, try to change your diet if you can. Do a lot of research as to how you can improve your memory and which is the best way to study. Don't give up now cause I heard it will get harder in a near future with more simulations. For MC questions, your brain just needs to be able to recognize the information given, but for simulations, it will need to recall it. Total recall comes after recognition and is lot harder to achieve. So if I were you? I would my shit together and find a way to increase your chances of passing.

I just finished crying to my mother – and I'm 40! I got the bright idea that I could take and pass two exams in one day and finally put this baby to bed. FAR in the am and REG in the pm. I felt horrible and almost broke down when the Prometric lady asked, “Is this your last one?” As if to say she's tired of seeing me up in there. Lady, I'm keeping you employed!

But, I digress. Today, was my 6th crack at FAR and 4th attempt at REG. So many thoughts were flowing through my head as I navigated from the Prometric center, where I could do their job with my eyes closed, all the way to my bed – so I could curl up in the fetal position and really reevaluate my life. Why am I putting myself through this shit!?! I know. I ask myself everytime I crack the cover on one of these thick books that I'm planning to burn once I slay this test to death – if it doesn't kill me first. But after hearing my mother's encouraging words this evening, I've decided to not throw in the towel – NOT NOW, NOT EVER! I refuse to let this test defeat me. I will go to my grave, with those precious little initials behind my name. I put that on everything.

I gave up on this test 17yrs ago and I'm paying dearly for it now. I'm not giving up and neither should you. We are better, smarter, and tougher than this test. I came back for a CPA rematch in 2009 and here are my standings:

    A: 45,74,72,68,70,85* (Passed)

    B: 45,65,70,78 (Passed)

    F: 59,50,68,58,70

    R: 49,47,64

*in danger of losing credit as of 4/5, if I didn't pass FAR & REG today.
