Test day is quickly approaching on the 22nd of February. This will be my first attempt at a CPA exam. I’ve been studying since December and I’m almost done going through all the MCQ’s suggested by Yeager. After that, I plan on spending a solid week just hammering out the Wiley FAR Test Bank and also at least one sample exam on the AICPA website.

Any suggestions for me with only 11 days to go? Any topics I should hit hard other than NFP and Governmental?

Also, is there any % I should shoot for on Wiley sample exams where I should feel confident going into the exam?

    Thanks for any advice.

    FAR - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER)
    AUD - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)
    BEC - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)
    REG - 2013 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES + NINJA AUDIO)

    ETHICS - 2013 - PASSED

DONE!!! Thank you A71 for all the support! Hiya!!!

Have people been seeing a lot more IFRS? In the 2011 Yeager review they estimate there will be about 6 questions or so on IFRS. I understand that could change with time. Any input on how heavily IFRS is tested in 2012?

    FAR - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER)
    AUD - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)

    REG - 2013 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES + NINJA AUDIO)

From what I read, NFP and government will be tested heavily.

Sorry for going off-topic, but with all these IFRS questions being thrown into the exam now, do you think the exam after July 2012 will be significantly different where we have to purchase new material?

I'm also less then 2 weeks away. I took about 5 hours and onced over off all the chapters and my notes… I feel much more confident now. Now I am going to bang out hopefully around 1000 MCQ in the next 2 weeks

    @dualmatrix

I posted about this somewhere else, sorry if you've read it. My personal opinion is that our current review materials cannot possibly prepare us for the types of IFRS questions on the exam. I just sat a week ago, and it is so unbelievably far beyond knowing things like the types of inventory valuation you can use. Since all the review materials are currently insufficient, I believe it basically results in a massive curve for everybody RIGHT NOW. However, as soon as one of the review materials providers updates and gets the jump on everybody else with full IFRS instruction, I would spend whatever extra money you have to in order to get it. When a provider puts that out, their students are going to start getting tons of questions RIGHT and that will mean you're in worse condition than when nobody knew them.

Now, who that provider will be and when it comes out, I have no idea. But if you hear about it becoming available, I say jump on it.

    AUD - 88
    FAR - 90
    REG - 85
    BEC - 88
