    Hi all,

I have two questions regarding Far exam

    in the coming week.

    1.Break time

Did anyone take a break during FAR ?

Is it good strategy to do that during exam ?

I had REG two months ago and could’t fully

concentrate on SIM at the end.

So how you guys think ?

    2. Pension

I used Becker to prepare and found out

that Becker mentions a lot JE in pension.

Do we have to memorize all ? I just borrowed Roger

FAR from friends and it didn’t emphasize much on

    JE on pension.

Any input will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks

I do think you have to understand how to JE the primary pension transactions (SIR AGE). I had a practice SIM in Becker that required JE's. Never know if it will show up on the exam

    BEC - 02/21/15 - 82
    FAR - 05/29/15 - 82
    AUD - 07/09/15 - 93
    REG - 11/14/15 - 80

    All done!!!

JEs help with understanding the material a lot better in my experience.

As for the break, I took one after testlet 1 and was feeling good. The issue was that I did well on testlet 1 so testlet 2 was a lot harder which took longer than I was expecting. Testlet 3 was more of the same so I only got 1 break. I would try to go in slightly dehydrated to keep from having to use the bathroom but those 4 hours seem like forever.

    Journey Started - January 2015
    FAR - 4/2015 - Passed
    AUD - 7/2015 - Passed
    BEC - 8/2015 - Passed
    REG - 11/12/2015 - Passed

You know I was reading about the fact that good performance earns you a harder testlet. Since it's a timed test I don't see how these increases in difficulty can't impact the candidate's performance on the SIMS. Or on the MCQ's themselves.

    @Penguin63,

But I also heard that the harder questions actually are worth more than medium or easy questions.

    AUD - 91
    BEC - 84
    FAR - 91
    REG - 91

I did take a break right before SIMs in my two most recent tests: AUD and FAR. Definitely helped me fee more focused and comfortable after a trip to the loo and to my locker for water. I passed AUD, don't know yet about FAR. I did end up with extra time after AUD and I used every last minute of FAR but I don't regret going. It would've just been another five minutes I had to fart around the AL.
