Hi everyone. I finished bs in accounting more then a year ago, want to start studying now.

How much hours a day do you think, I should put in order to prepare myself for FAR exam in 7 weeks?

I am familiar with the topics, but now it very vague.

    Thanks

I think I remember watching a video from this forum that said 7 weeks 20 hours/week. I don't think it would matter how you split the study hours up. I originally planned to study for 7-8 weeks but I was lazy when it came to scheduling my test, so now I have 11 weeks to study… haha.

Is this your first exam? You're likely going to need 100+ hours, but it's really hard to pin it down to a certain number. When I first started studying last August, it took me a good week to get consistent study habits going and a sense of the pace I needed to keep up with. My advice – have goals of being at a certain point by week 2, week 4, etc. but be flexible. Some topics will take you longer; some will take you shorter. Be more concerned with how well you are learning the material vs how much time you spend on it.

    1. Some people here recommend studying around 200 hours and doing 3,000 to 5,000 Ninja MCQs.

If you want to reach 200 hours, you have to study for about 5 hours a day, 6 days a week, for 7 weeks.

    2. Some people prefer doing: Videos => Book => MCQs.

For me personally, I prefer reading the book first before watching the videos, because sometimes I am not familiar with the materials talked about in the videos.
