    Hi

    I’m currently studying FAR , I’ve reached chapter 4 , I’m using Becker only , I work Full Time

I only have two-three hours to study in one day

I think I’m going really slow

my exam is on 27th of may 2014

I watch lectures , make notes on my text book (same as notes in the video lecture)

I move on after I watch a Lecture even if didn’t understand the material for 100% !

    I do some homework randomly

    did F1 all homeworks

    F2,F3 did some of homeworks

    F4 did nothing

    Simulations Did nothing

didn’t take any progress tests yet

I have problems with my intention to study , usually feeling lazy and not in the mood !!

any helpful tips Please … ??

Today I start my third journey with FAR lol..a couple things to get cleared first, you cannot wing this exam and pass..and your intentions need to be clear, if being a cpa is not something you want badly, don't waste your time and energy because this exam will knock the life out of you but when you fail you have to get up and do it all over again.. you will need the drive to do that..life will always get in the way..it's alot of coffee and lack of sleep.. and noone is ever in the mood to study..but if you want to be wealthy, you have to do what you have to do 🙂

Now that we have that out of the way, I can say that you remind me of myself, just all over the place and not organized. By my fifth exam attempt, I started to do things differently, finish a section (a portion of a chapter) then work on multiple choice for that section, and take notes on questions I have wrong. I personally only use the final review material from Becker, I don't use the whole book anymore, Too much details. Basically my tip is simply break the material down into sections, rather than big chapters or multiple chapters and re-enforce the material with mcq, that's the only way to apply what you learn so it sticks. I do the Wiley testbank mcq now tho, not the Becker ones, it gives a different perspective of explaining things and it tells you why you answered something wrong instantly, very helpful.

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 ✔
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 ✔
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 ✔

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..
