FAR or AUD???

As of today, I’ve passed BEC & REG. I’m having trouble deciding which exam to take next. I’m absolutely terrified of FAR. Three years ago I started studying for FAR and gave up after a couple of weeks. I’m not sure if I want to save it for last, but the thought of studying for it right now is daunting. I struggled pretty bad with BEC, and that’s supposed to be “easy”. Any advice? Does it really matter which one I try next?

I don't think it matters which one you do. Don't be scared of FAR. I was and then I met big, bad REG. I still shiver at the thought of the taxes and blaw. There is overlap between AUD and FAR. If I were you I would go ahead and tackle FAR. Get it knocked out. BEC may have less material, but it's not cohesive by any means. There is so much randomness to it that it can feel overwhelming so it's not surprising that many have to take it several times, especially if you don't have the business background that others may have. You beat REG and BEC, you can beat FAR and AUD. Some people say that it is better to do FAR first because it teaches you about the financials, before you learn how to audit them with AUD.

FAR, hands down. You're halfway done (congratulations by the way). It's time to face your fear. Remember, you can't get a CPA without it and it's much wiser to take FAR before AUD. Conquer the beast!

I was in your same boat. FAR was actually the first examination that I ever took and I failed it with a 74 🙁 . After that I was afraid to take it again so I moved on to BEC and REG. When it came around to having to pass FAR and AUD next I did a little research and most people stated that FAR material tended to supplement AUD especially when it comes to SIMS. I think the most important part is to just repeat your study habits that have worked on your previous two examinations. Once you get that down the content isn't as big of a deal.

    Best of luck!

It's up to you . I would suggest taking AUD first to get u a motivation boost when u pass it. All you would need to focus on is FAR. Studying for FAR is time consuming and stressful but I'm sure u can do it. Good luck!

    THANKS TO GOD

    FAR - 76
    AUD- 88
    REG - 76
    BEC- 74, 80

    DONE!!!!!

FAR hands down. Some of the material I learned in FAR helped answer some of the audit questions, but not so much the other way around

    FAR - 81
    REG - 74, 87
    AUD - 88
    BEC - 88

    Finally.

Wouldn't have passed AUD without FAR because of the material on the SIMS. My 81 is too narrow to think otherwise…

FAR first. AUD sims can require you to do JE's.

I took FAR last and I wouldn't recommend it. Just my opinion of course.

    BEC: 10/2013 71
    AUD: 12/2013 75
    BEC: 02/2014 89
    REG: 05/2014 86
    FAR: 11/2014 81

FAR has always been my nemesis, and like a complete idiot, I saved FAR until last. If I had it to do all over again, I would have gotten FAR out of the way first and then started in on the other three; however, it all worked out in the end.

    AUD - 93
    BEC - 80
    REG - 86
    FAR - 83
