    Hey guys,

I just completed my first of Beckers practice finals and I got horrible scores on the JE questions in the Sims. When i went to review i saw that my JE’s were correct. Becker marked the credits and debits that didn’t require a number as incorrect. Am i supposed to fill in those blank spaces with zeros?, or is becker just f’ing up lol. I also got the research question right and it marked me wrong for that!

    AUD - 89 07/02/14 (Becker practice exam: 74, 83)

    BEC - 83 10/03/14 (Becker practice exam: 83, 70)
    FAR - 91 11/24/14 (Becker practice exams: 64, 77)

I've came across that in my studies too @jcan9703; Becker has counted questions wrong before when they are actually right. As many others may have discussed, I think the particular SIM will tell you to fill in a blank with a 0 if it's necessary.

Hopefully someone can confirm, whether or not it's appropriate. As someone in another post stated, putting in a 0 behind a debit entry or vice versa, wouldn't be done in real life, so one would think it'd be the same on the exam (to not put in a zero); but I'm not sure how the exam calculates. I think in the case of Becker, it counts it wrong as the software does not process a no-entry correctly.

Yep. I had the same experience with my final. They marked it empty debits and credits that weren't supposed to be filled in an wrong. I even had two correct answers that marked wrong. Don't worry about it. The exam is (hopefully) scored fairly.

I had a sim on FAR with a mind-blowingly large amount of fill in the blanks, but each line had a number placed in one of the 8 or eleventy-billion columns to the right. I filled in the number in the appropriate column then put zeros in the rest. Another had JEs, with drop-downs for the account names and blanks for the amounts. The instructions said something like if no entry was necessary select Not Applicable. At the end of one of the entries, I selected the Not Applicable, then filled in zeros next to it. I was going to fill in the next blank line the same way but no longer had Not Applicable as an option. It stressed me out that I wasn't filling in everything, but decided to just leave it. I ended up with an 84. Just be sure to really read the question and instructions for answering it!

Ok guys, thanks for the advice. I took the other Becker practice exam, filled in zeros, and it still marked them wrong. I guess I'll just make sure i pay really close attention to the instructions on the actual exam.
