    Hello All,

I recently took FAR on May 30th and got my score back today. I received a 69 pretty better than how I was feeling but not good enough to pass. I cut some corners when I was studying and did not fully go over certain topics and of course they would be on the exam. So I am starting the process over, again any suggestions on how to prepare again. Should I go through the whole wiley program with videos or just read the book, do question re write ninja notes and journal entries. Any ideas are appreciated.

@master, here is how I passed far the first time. Using only CPA excel. The approach is for each bite size lesson. Can be applied to doing multiple lessons in a day.

    Day 1:

    Read study material

    Do PQs in study mode

    Do MCQs in study mode

    Day 2:

    Do MCQs in exam mode

If I scored a 90 i was done with the section

If I scored less than a 90 I worked out what I was doing wrong and took a bunch of notes

    Day 3:

    Days 2 process again

Weekly: Take an quiz weekly over everything you've learned so far, reviewing the lessons you kissed questions.

Takes a lot of time, but that is FAR. FAR test your ability to put the time in.

I also got my FAR score 61 and BEC 70. I feel very frustrated and have to reset my mindset again. It is my first try, only using Becker material for the exam, I don't think it is enough for the exam. When I finished my BEC test, I think I can pass BEC. Actually,I only got 70. It's different in FAR, I think I only know how to do 2 of 7 sims. It does not surprise me I only got 61. I think the real exam sims are more difficult than becker so I plan to buy ninja material and hope to be more familiar with the MCQ and sims.

I used the Becker book (made 3 legal pad full of notes) and Ninja Notes (Rewritten 2 legal pads), Ninja MCQ & Flashcards and passed. For me I needed to really understand the concepts. So, it may seem like a lot but it's better to put the work in now, then to re take it again later.

taigpegg – try taking one exam at a time. Taking 2 exams back to back might be too much material, especially since one of those tests was FAR.

Master the CPA exam – similar concept. You seem to have all 4 exams within a few months. You didn't leave much room for a retake. Try and slow down and take 1 test at a time. It's not a marathon. Give each test its respectful time.

I'm preparing to study again for my retake on Aug 31 and I'm terrified and discouraged. I went into it last year feeling prepared, I had studied insanely for 2 months with Gleim. I didn't put enough emphasis on time management and only had an hour and fifteen minutes for Sims. After looking at how many tabs there were and how long the scenarios and instructions were for all of them, I panicked!! I hurried to do what I could but ran out of time and left the test center in tears. I am dreading this horrible experience for round 2. I am going to try Ninja, start Gleim from the beginning and practice going as fast as possible. I don't think I can stomach another failure as traumatic and keep going with the exam. Good luck to all you re-takers!!
