Hi all,

My exam is on October 31st and I’ve been studying since the first week of September. This will be my last exam as I have passed all other parts on the first try. I’m getting nervous though for a couple reasons – one is that I have two windows (including this one) before one of my credits expires and two is that the amount of material is so vast.

I’m going through all Becker chapters and was wondering from those who have passed FAR what a comfortable MCQ percentage is on the second time through. I’ve tried searching for this sort of info but surprisingly haven’t found any posts regarding HW %s on the second time through.

First time through – average about 60-70% for most chapters, Chapters 8-9 70-80%

Second time through (i’ve only made it to 5 so far) Anywhere from 70%-90%

I haven’t worked through sims yet. But then again, haven’t practiced them for any of the exams.

Any input is welcome.

Sorry – I'm not much help. I didn't give myself enough time to prepare for FAR in the last window. Studied just short of about four weeks, scored in the low 80's on the becker MCQ and got a 63 on the actual exam. The sims totally ripped me apart on that one, along with being weak on the MCQ.

Best of luck – FAR and I go at it again at the very end of this testing window. Last section — hoping to be done forever with this exam!

I'm taking FAR on Monday and am doing the same (reviewing all chapters). I don't do every single MCQ because once I have a topic down, I don't really feel the need to burn myself out by doing 68 problems of the same thing … but I'm generally getting between 70 – 80% on the rework that I do. After each chapter I review I take a cumulative progress test to reinforce everything and also so I don't forget Chapter 1 by the time I'm reviewing Chapter 9.

I would recommend doing the sims after you do the rework of the MCQs. I didn't do sims for any other section either but I think they're kind of make it or break it for FAR.
