    Hi everyone

Just want to get clarification on filling in blank items..

When there is an extra line for a journal entry, will there be an option for “blank” or “no entry required” and

Do you fill in zeros for anything that doesn’t require a response?

I only ask because I remember when I took FAR the first time, there was extra lines for journal entries and there was no “No entry required” or “blank” choice

Basically, should I fill out my answers similar to how NINJA MCQ is set up?

Thanks in advance for your help

I would like to know the same answer. Also, is there any strategy about what to do if you don't have a clue or are out of time? I have read that some people put all 0's hoping for partial credit. I don't know if there is any downside to that approach but would like to hear any feedback from anybody who knows what they are talking about.

If I remember right, the SIMS had individual instructions that indicated what you were supposed to do. Some will be to fill in everything even if it's zero, some will be only fill in the answer, and leave everything else blank, etc. Read them carefully as they change for each question.

    AUD - 80
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 80
    REG - 80
    3 years

    + 16 tests

    + 2 expired sections

    = DONE FOREVER!

    AUD 88 (expired), 80 retake
    FAR 64,69,67,73,67,73,73,73, August 3
    REG 75 (expired) September 7
    BEC 72, 77

    The adventure continues...

Exactly what CPA50 said- if a particular SIM requires you to fill in zeros in extra spaces, it's going to be explicitly stated in the instructions for that SIM. From what I can tell from my prior exam experience, these circumstances tend to occur mostly with SIMS requiring a listing of calculated figures. SIMS requiring journal entries, on the other hand, usually have 1-3 more spaces than needed for a correct answer and don't generally require zeroes be entered into the extra spaces.
