So I have been sick and so behind. Now I am getting hit with work dealines .. today I worked 15 hrs and still not feeling well so tonight is out from studying too. Don't think these exams are going to be possible before expiration of NTS :(

Just a quick question before I dive into another progress test:
After taking Becker Final Exam #1, I saw that for some of the J/E simulations, I got points off for not having J/E in order. For example, if the answer was: (totally made up J/E haha it doesnt even make sense but for my point to illustrate...)
Dr. Liability X
Dr. AccumD X
Dr. Expense X
Cr. Cash X
Cr. Equip X

I reversed the order for Accumulated Depreciation and Expense, but the numbers were each correct but Becker took it as all wrong because it wasn't it "order" with their answer system. Does anyone know if the actual exams take these into account? Or is there a secret way of listing journal entries that everyone knows and I don't know about?

I am retaking FAR on the 28th. My plan is to go through all of the MC and then really see what I need help in. I already know that I need help when it comes to bonds (discounting, etc), stock options, government, and one other section. My hope is that I can eliminate some of the sections (I am using CPAExcel so each major section is broken down into smaller ones) and only have a few that I need to hit heavy.

@hello_soll I was wondering the same thing. I think thats so dumb if you lose points for the wrong order. Real world no one cares as long as the numbers match. I have a hard time enough with JE yet alone remembering the order.

I work in tax for a public accounting firm and I have decided that I MUST go to my local library to study straight after work. Studying at home doesn't work as well as it used to because I am now married and just because of all the inherent distractions that exist at home.

It's amazing how the cleanliness of my bathroom mirror can magically become so distracting when it's time to study lol

Boo. I have fallen behind the last two days. STILL have to do lecture for NFP then I'm onto MCQ and rewriting chapter 1 tonight OR ELSE.

Thankfully, got the whole weekend. SLEEPING IN NOT OPTIONAL!

Just took the 2nd practice test and got a 74 in total. Last time i took the practice test back in september before my test i got a 62. With my test in the morning I am starting to feel confident. Time to relax, not stress, and review week areas.

ya they are extremely hard. I have been scoring in the low to mid 80's on 90 question progress test so i thought I would take it to see some different problems before my exam tomm morning. I just want that 75 so bad so I never have to look at the becker again.

I am a little late to jump on this boat again. I am retaking FAR this testing window (still need to pay and schedule). I did not pass this last window (72) and also did not pas AUD (71). My confidence was badly shaken and I took time off for the Holidays. I eased into studying this week, reviewing the first chapter, listening to one video (I am using Yaeger) and feel more confident. Goal for this week is to complete a mini review and take a baseline practice Exam on Wiley test bank. I will attack the topics from weakest to strongest. Next week is payday and I hope to be able to purchase my FAR retake (still have some Christmas bills...lol)

I pulled my Performance Report and it was not as painful to look at. Framework and Standards as well as Financial Statements and Accounts were the 2 areas I scored weaker. I thought there was an expanded version of the content areas that covered all the individual topics under the main topics. Does anyone else know what I am talking about and where to find it?

Thanks for the input guys! I really like the idea of studying elsewhere, that could be a good plan! I might try that starting Monday.

well i think its time to stop the studying. Test time 8am tomm morning. I have done all i can do. Just finished with doing the AICPA practice test. I pray that i get sims like those. Goodluck to anyone else taking tomm. I will update everyone on what i thought when i get back from the test.

Well, I'm done with FAR for now and hopefully forever. Posted my experience in the other thread. I would make sure you have IFRS differences down and not to neglect F2 in Becker. Good luck to everyone else taking it this window.
