Hi guys, I will be joining you. Got a 74. This one hurts the most. I am pretty pissed, but I'll start studying again after work tonight. Also will be taking a few days off in January.

Anyone using the Ninja MCQ? I have Becker also. Should I do Becker AND Ninja? I did the Becker MCQ twice already while studying for my previous test. I was mostly over 80%, but some topics I was in the 70s. I guess I should do both?

For those guys who didn't make FAR in 2014:

Stay POSITIVE and practice as much as you can before you go foe re-pass stage in Q1-2015 ! I am only at the beginning stage of CPA-Marathon and FAR will be my 1st exam. I think that one of the most important thing for FAR-section is HOW YOU MANAGE EXAM-time. Psychologically, when we are stucked with smth, we start to panic looking forward. I can be wrong. Is anybody can tell his own strategy – how to manage exam-time ? Also, I suggest that SIMS eat a lot of time and frying brain, depends how good you are with the major topic of a certain SIM. Any tips from the last FAR-people who just have tested as the last FAR-group-2014 ?

@Nat63 – Yes, time management is important. For FAR, I tackled the conceptual questions first and left the longer/calculation questions for last. Then I would go back and review every single question before moving on to the next testlet.

I would also budget around 45 minutes for each testlet, leaving a good amount of time for the SIMS. Keeping aware of the clock, all while staying calm, is important.

Almost every time I have failed these CPA tests, I was weaker in the SIMS. I only finally passed once I was comparable/stronger in them. Allocating enough time for them is crucial. People have also utilized the authoritative literature while working the SIMS. I have yet to successfully do that, so that's something I could improve on.

ok guys. let's do this. I got my score notice. They said I'm stronger for Govt, NFP, specific transactions and events, FS accounts but weaker on Framework/Standards and Simulation.

I'll study like it's my first time with different set of notes for concepts and calculation. I'll use FAR book with NINJA MCQ.

I think third? Which is not an option bc I lose reg in February and reallllly don't want to have to retake that one. So I will be studying like I've never studied before! My 2 fails were both in the fourth quarter.

Seems Q4 sucks, this was my first exam. I have to develop a study strategy going forward, I will only allow myself to fail once, now time to hit Bonds and common stock no more excuses on my part. I know that's where I lost the 1 point so badly needed to pass. Good luck to us.
