Ya that is definitely nuts about the date your internship ended....and I definitely wouldn't complain about the accent! :)

Hey guys can somebody show me where I can get Jeffs notes on Gov and NFP.
sign up for Another75
I think the first month is free and you can get the notes
@whonis - You can buy them off of club 75. I think they are about $50.
@Italian cpa - you made out of here luckily, hopefully you'll have just as good of luck too in studying for these exams. I studied abroad a couple of years ago in Rome and miss it so much. I think Milan was one of the few cities I didn't make it to see in Italy, due to a lovely transportation strike.... :( Oh well maybe after I'm done with these exams I can spend my money on a trip instead of cpa fees.
I just e-mailed Jeff to see how I could get them...so is there a completely different forum for Club75?! Do people actually post on these forums that are in Club75?
@michelle - I think I am going to treat myself to Lasik eye surgery after I am done with this exam!
MPoni123 thats a good question am bouncing all over the place looking for that another 75 forum....
@MPoni - Yes it a different forum than Another71. Yes people post on Club75. The forum looks the same as it does for Another71. Hope that helps.
Yes - I joined it to get some of his notes, its worth it. I don't think you can get the notes if you do the free/penny version. There are quite a few of us that are on both. I signed up just for the notes basically, great resource probably 50-70 pgs for each section. He also holds chat rooms weekly for us club 75-ers and we all talk about different questions we have going on. He also gives you the 50 tips about cpa exams and a bit more personal advice. Its also much smaller as far as I can see and there is a nice community there..... I wish I would have the money to stay with Club 75, but I'll probably drop it after my exams.
Here's the link http://club75.another71.com/
@Mponi - I almost did that as well, but my eyes aren't quite that bad enough yet. Maybe after my 3 years of graduate school that can be my gift haha
I think you can buy the notes for $20
Ahh 50 - 70 pages?! That is a good summary, but I am not sure if that is too much for me at this point in time. Maybe if I have to retake FAR in the Oct/Nov testing window I might do it...but since FAR is my last exam, I will just risk not getting them and see what happens. There are 40 pages with Yaeger handouts alone.
@Michelle - I have wanted to do it for a while now (few years) and my vision has actually stopped getting worse the last few years...my left eye is -3.25 I think and my right is -2.75. I don't have astigmatism (sp?) or anything...I just can't see lol (I am near-sighted). Even in front of the computer though I need either my contacts in or glasses on.
I figured I would wait until AFTER my exam though in case something goes terribly wrong and I end up blind or something lol at least I would have finished the exams by then...haha awful I know.
Ya, I have Becker and they don't really have notes, maybe 15 pages at the most for audit and they didn't seem complete so I figured I might as well try Jeff's so hopefully they work for me. Best of luck on your FAR exam!!
@Mponi - geez I feel blind compared to you, -5.25 and -4.75 haha my dad is like -8 and refuses to get it done....
Thank you!! I used Becker for both AUD and REG and did read the "summary notes" at the end of each chapter, which I definitely think helped. Good luck on AUD!
@michelle - OMG!! wow your vision is definitely worse than mine lol maybe if we go to the same place in MA we can get a discount...like buy 3 eyes and get 1 free lmao
Haha that would be nice, like buying new tires. I know a handful of people that have gotten it done, even way back when it was new like 10 years ago when you had to go to Canada to get it done for cheaper. I know none of them had problems, and had full eyesight in like 2 days so I've always been intrigued by it....
Ya my older sister got it done like 10 years ago or something when it was like $5,000 - 6,000 in Dartmouth at EyeHealth Vision Center and she still has 20/20 I believe. She said that one of her eyes did get slightly weaker, but nothing major. She had horrible vision!
Side note - $h!t I don't have paypal to buy Jeff's notes! FML
@Mponi - that's easy to do, you can just set one up all you need is an email account. I had to make one as well for this.
Jeff e-mailed me back...Paypal let me pay with a credit card :) Now all I need is paper for my printer! lol ooh man..this is gonna be a long day haha
I would focus on Jeff's notes and not the yaeger notes. He covers most of it, and really hits the important points of each section. It is great review material. Not that yaeger's notes are bad, but if you are feeling overwhelmed by the amount of notes to study, I would use Jeff's over Yaeger.
Thanks for the suggestion financeguy and thanks for telling me about Jeff's notes! :) I really need to start doing some MCQs, too and get offline!
hehehe... its addictive... I also just purchased the Notes and am finally doing an overview of all chapters just finish a set of MCQ's on Chapter 2 went fairly well this time as compared to some days where I go completely blank
I feel you whonis2002 - I am using Yaeger and am on the very first set of MCQs lol...and some questions I am like..what? haha...not a good sign!
When are you sitting for FAR and what state are you in whonis?
MPoni123 same date as you 8/31 5.30PM and yes am an angelino (California, Woodland Hills). This is going to be my first exam and after seeing what everybody goes through I just said to my self no need to stress out just do what you can do and wait for the results....I mean everbody has different stories which completely throw you off. You can't know what to expect from this exam. Some will say they guessed a majority of the questions (which I find hard to believe) and found out they passed, others will say the felt good coming out of the exam and failed the exam, at this point its really hard to determine what this exam will throw at you. One thing I know for sure is if you put in the time chances of passing are extremely high...All I need in FAR is a 75% and am good to go.
@whonis2002 - haha since there is a 3 hour time difference between us I will almost be done with the exam before you take it! lol I hear you on all the horror stories and then they find out they pass..which I hope happens to us! That would be sweet :)
MPoni123 lets keep our fingers crossed and am sure the almighty God will guide us through this. :)
MPoni - I have been a member of Club 75 for several months. I tend to stalk both forums each day. :-) Jeff's notes have been invaluable in my other exams!
I'd recommend Club 75 to anyone who still has 1 or more exams to take. It is very helpful and you get access to all the notes, and webinars as well. (just to name a few things!)
Ok, I think I'm off to bed. I got to the point on my FAR MCQ's that I was hoping a choice would be "I don't f'n know!" so I guess I've had enough. Tomorrow is the day for me.......yikes.
