Took FAR on 11/17. Each day drags as I get closer to the scores being released. Will this be the last test? Did i pass? If not, i'm in trouble! Busy season around the corner, followed by the birth of my second child in May, add the new IFRS exam..... I hurts to even think about what a score below 75 would entail. 2 weeks away from finding out. Will it ruin my holidays, or enhance them? Either way..... i'll be getting drunk

My advice... rip the band aid off when it comes in.
If you pass... best holiday ever!
If you didn't pass, here's some bright side for ya...
1. Second child... you've had a kid, so you know just how COOL it is to become a dad. (assuming Joe is a guy name). This alone is reason to be excited and extra focused for your retake.
2. You have already done the hardest part... gone through the entire FAR review course. Don't start the course over... you JUST took it. (yaeger cram by itself will pass you, I did that in 2 weeks and passed). Do a 3 day review of your book and materials... just to get it back in your head fresh, then hit multiple choice for 1.5 weeks... sit and pass FAR.
3. 95% of the info is already there, read up on IFRS.
Do this, and you will be DONE with the CPA by mid - late January. Promise.
Therefore... a pass is awesome news!! But a non-pass is FAR from the end of the world. Just means you need an extra 2-3 weeks of prep for an exam. I'm a becker student that uses the Yeager Crams... With out those, I fail.
You may want to fork over the $200 bucks (less if you already have the text book) and get the Yeager FAR cram... that will have IFRS in it when it's released in a few weeks.
Please don't read this that anyone thinks you failed... b/c most people on this forum DO pass. I'm just saying, as one former FAR non-passer; I can say, the quicker you get on that horse and accept the challenge to re-take... your holidays will still be awesome! Attitude!

Oh... and my CPA score result is always done with a stiff drink in my hand... BEFORE checking the score.

I received my FAR score as soon as I got home from taking Audit (for the 3rd time) and got a 74 first try. I was devastated for 3 days, cried for an hour when I found out. I have never cried over a cpa exam. Upset because of new testing info, tired, and passed 2 already and want to be done. But after alcohol and massage I was back to normal and ready to pass FAR. So good luck to all of you waiting before xmas I hope your miracles come!!!

What will everyone’s drink of choice be? I plan on starting slow. Maybe one beer, preferably a Belgian, Chimay! Then by the time I click the refresh button on the NASBA website for the 1000th time, I will probably have moved to the hard liquor. Finally, when the site has officially crashed, I will have moved on to concocting my own recipes using pretty much anything with a screw cap in the house. All of this while I teeter on the brink of insanity!

American Whiskey... Gentlemen Jack (smooth)
Scotch Whisky... any single malt 15 yrs+
Bourbon... Makers and a splash of water
Canadian... Crown
All of these are on rocks... and repeated until I forget what I was tested on.

I'm in the same boat, waiting for FAR. I'm hoping that my vacation to Hawaii in two weeks will be a celebration of me becoming a CPA! I don't want to have to come back to the reality of winter in Minnesota AND study for FAR AND deal with tax season. Haha, I love Minnesota but not ever seeing sunlight most days during tax season kind of blows...

Cobber, today is the day! i am so anxious/nervous/sick to my stomach/ insane. Seems to me like people were getting their scores around 2 ish. I'm very superstitous. I have worn the same outfit to each test. I have checked the scores at the same table, in the same chair at my house. Do i check my score at work today? or do i wait to go home, crack open a beer, and sit at the same chair, at the same table, at my house? How could i not look, knowing that they are out there? Decisions, decisions. Point is, i am crazy and these results are only making me crazier! haha

I noticed BEC scores starting around 10:00 am EST yesterday. It goes by the first three digits of your NTS. I am 434 so I'll post as soon as I know something. I was 436 for BEC yesterday and got my score around 6:30 pm EST.
Are AUD scores still being released? We probably have to wait on those to finish.

Agreed. I will post as soon as i get my score. Well, depending on the results, i might have to scope my heart off of the ground. Also, need to stop weeping. Once all of the above has been accomplished, i will post. My NTS starts with 424.

I am taking the rest of the day off from work, buying my wife flowers to thank her for letting me study, and i am getting drunk...... as promised!
Congrats to all those that have passed. To all those that still have tests remaining, or are getting discouraged. Keep your head up. I failed Reg 3 times and FAR once before i finally passed a single part. Something clicked and i decided to buckle down and start studying. 4 tests later, C.P.A. If i can pass them, so can you. Keep plugging away and Good luck!

BTW... you are a CPA now (pending paperwork)... make sure you reach for the TOP SHELF at the liquor/beer store. Don't settle for bottom shelf.
