So I made my way through high school and college half-assing my tests and doing well on everything else in my classes to still maintain an A/B average. As I am faced with these exams…. I am having a hard time with MCQs that are not calculations. When I read the Roger chapters, I am overwhelmed at having to remember all of the details in the paragraphs and bullet points. Any tips with narrowing facts down and remembering the details for terms and bullet points?

For real, the details ARE important but as long as you understand the IDEA of it. I would really focus on the stuff that Roger's BOLDED. Helps a lot. I would practice SIMS. I really would. I was against doing them because they took too long, but each sim, I tried to understand how to answer and what the thought process was to answer it right. It really reinforces what you learned.

And for heavens, REVIEW GOV'T and NFP. Like twice….. such easy points are SO lost on these subjects. There were so many on the test….

Look at the content specific outline from the AICPA. I prioritized my time based on that. My minimum goal was to be able to narrow an MCQ about any topic down to 2 best answers, but I did spend entire days just on bonds, GVT, and NP. I didn't practice computation SIMS until my review, but also spend time looking at the AL. It can save you when you get an off the wall SIM about a topic you don't know that well. I practiced research SIMs to learn the AL, as well as look up the relevant sections based on the topic I was studying.

    BEC - 88 8/29/15
    REG - 82 11/14/15
    AUD - 83 1/8/16
    FAR - 80 2/29/16
