    Hey Ninjas!

I take FAR in 12 days and stress from work has reached an all time high. I’ve read and took notes twice (Wiley) I’ve done about ~1500 mcq. For my past exams i did well on the MCQ but weak on the SIMS. Any helpful tips to prepare for FAR?

    Thanks! HIYA

My advice: Don't skimp on NFP and Govt accounting topics, and practice doing JE's until your eyes bleed.

    FAR: 74, 83
    REG: 76
    BEC: 77
    AUD: 89

I definitely agree, Gov NFP can be huge. I heard it can be up to 30% of the exam, so try to know it like the back of your hand (know which funds are in which category, journal entries between funds)

Also, don't beat yourself up if you don't know EVERYTHING. My confidence was super low after getting a 64 on my practice exam before I took FAR, so try not to be like me- believe in yourself!!!

You passed 2 exam with decent scores so far. I think BEC is the monster and you did fairly well. Practice journal entries and don't skimp the areas you are weak in. You will do great, keep practicing !

Just the idea to study governmental and Nonforprofit makes me sick… I hated those topics… and learning all the financial statements is a pain in the Neck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to mention that you have to be aware of the IFRS rules,… so be AWARE!

I take FAR in a few weeks and am already thinking of pushing it back. Ugh. I understand your stress. There is so much material to retain it's frustrating.

I would do progress tests from all of the chapters to keep everything fresh. Hard to remember something that you haven't looked at in weeks.
