FAR – trying not to break down

I am scoring very badly on my MCQs, what do I do? I feel worse going into this retake. I am at my wits end and I cannot take reading these FAR questions. They are so long and tricky. My head hurts and I want to be done. I really am trying here guys but I need another strategy. Nothing is working and I am running out of time. I am not being dramatic, I wouldn’t ask if I really didn’t feel like I may fail. I can’t push back or reschedule so I have 2 weeks to figure something out.

    Florida:
AUD: 73, 81! Thank you Lord!
BEC: 73, 77! Thank you Lord! and WTB
REG: 71, 82! Thank you Lord! and A71
FAR: 72, 78! Thank you God and my Mommy in Heaven!

@Teetee.. so sorry to hear that, I think you probably are burnt out and because of that with lack of focus. Why don't you go to your weaker areas first and based on that, move on? 2 weeks is for a good cram and think about this: you just need 3 points…

Don't be so overwhelmed now.. you can do it!! you can!!

Here we are suffering with complications in my tooth extraction 🙁 tons of pain.. no study by the moment…

@teetee I felt exactly the same as you did before mine, I think what I did was to review the concepts of the areas I could.. I had a bad cram, so you have now 2 weeks, you have studied before, so don't be in panic, is just to sit down and cram very well the concepts. In my case, I knew my weak areas, so I pushed on that ones in my last study days.. I waslucky because these came in the SIMS, so even when I didn't practice sims, I think I could make it that's why my 71.

So, start fresh, drink lots of water, and vitamins! and in the worst scenario: red bull (one per day hahaha) before the exam.. sleep well and know that you will pass this one!!

Yeah, this pain is killing me.. I hate dentists with so much passion 🙂 I might re-schedule AUD for later May.. I don't think I can make it in only one month with all this stuff over me..

@ teeteenounouche, you can also print out a 2 weeks calendar and write down what you want to accomplish each day. Once you reached your goal of the day, you can take a small break.

You can also listen to audio, review the Ninja notes when you are tire of doing MCQs

You are almost there! You can do it 🙂

    BEC - 80 (10/27/2010)
    REG - 82 (11/30/2010)
    FAR - 75 (04/01/2011)
    AUD - 82 (05/27/2011)
    CA Ethic - 90 (12/15/2013) * I am such a procrastinator

Tee, I hope you feel better tomorrow.

Just remember, you've been doing great. Your hard work will be paid off in time, and you will pass the test in April.

I am not burnt out yet because I have been slacking off. I must crucify myself tonight.

Tee: Step away from the test bank…slowly!

When you get frustrated and overwhelmed, comprehension goes out the window. Just walk away from the books and take a few deep breaths. Do something fun for a short time and come back to it when you don't feel so fried. The exam will mess with your head but you have to fight that. FAR is your last exam and the pressure is on. I get that and I've been there. Have confidence in yourself and your abilities. You have pretty solid scores on your exams and they all fell on the second try. FAR will be no different.

Spend the next two weeks doing MCQs and reviewing your notes. Make sure you have a basic understanding of all topics mentioned in the NINJA notes. Study your weak areas and review all others.

Also, Gov't, NFP and IFRS are heavy on FAR so make sure you are solid there.

Again, have confidence that you know more than you think you do…and then go bitch slap FAR. I will be waiting to celebrate with you on score release. Good luck!

Tee remember to distract yourself well today or you'll obsess over NOT studying. Go see a movie, go to the mall…..something that will divert your attention temporarily.

CPAhereiam, try a decongestant too. Sometimes fluid presses on a nerve and intensifies the pain. Hope you're feeling better.
