    2 Corinthians 5:21

Our value does not come from our skills and abilities, as good as they may be; it does not come from our GPA, our job, a promotion from that job to a better job, our success on the CPA exam, or anything of the like; but our value comes from the fact that we have a Creator who loves us, cares for us, and desires to help us navigate the rough waters of this life in a way that provides security, hope, and true, everlasting joy while we anticipate the life to come, with Him.

This was my post in the AUD exam experience thread immediately after I got out of my retake for AUD.

I had my retake with AUD today and I think I did worse than the first time! How is this possible??? I busted my butt for 2.5 months studying for this retake. I did every possible thing I could think of, lectures, read the book, listed to Ninja Audio repeatedly, Took tons of notes, rewrote 74 pages of notes (including Ninja Notes), reread the notes at least 5 times, did thousands of MCQs. The first testlet was from left field. I actually started to tear up before I started the second testlet. It didn't get much better. I was continuously able to cross of two choices, but couldn't decide between the last two. I guessed on so many questions. I did find one entire SIM word for word in the AL, but the others are a toss up. I don't even know what I should do differently when I study for it again. What else can I do???

Yeah–I cried for 30 minutes in my car after that exam and I didn't even bother to check my score as soon as it came up because I was already trying to figure out when to schedule my 3rd take. Ummm—raised my score 20 points to an 85 and that is how I felt coming out of the exam. Moral–it ain't over till you get your score!!

This is what I posted immediately after my REG retake. I have to go look at the experience threads because my memory of how I felt right after the exam gets distorted over time.

“OMG! All I have the energy to type right now is that the MCQ killed me. They were harder than the Sims. Used every second of my time with no break and only had a little over an hour for the sims. 🙁

My SIMS were a cakewalk compared to last time. I could at least determine what they were asking this time and I found a lot of answers in the AL. I couldn't find my research question last time. I found it within 20 seconds this time. The MCQ though, I felt like I was taking AUD. Could narrow it down to two answers and then had to make an educated guess. It was not supposed to go down like that at all. Good luck to all of us. I will be waiting to see results from all of you on whatever day they decide to release scores.”

I remember not feeling like I definitely failed as I did when I came out of AUD, but more that I could have completely screwed up the MCQ to the point that I failed or I could have done better than I thought. Turns out I did better than I thought.

I thought for sure I had failed after AUD… Leading up to the exam I felt extremely prepared and thought it'd be a cake walk.. however I had a pretty bad exam experience. It was the middle of busy season and I was working about 70-80 hours a week on top of my final cramming the exam. By the time I took the test I was so burnt out I could barely think. My brain was just not working that day. I was almost certain I failed but ended up with an 86.

There was one time when I absolutely knew I passed because the exam was too easy. I ended up getting a 73. The next time I sat I was about to cry from the difficulty of the MCQ and couldn't figure out if I did well on SIMs or not, but I ended up with an 84. I seriously don't get these exams!!

    AUD: 84
    FAR: 75
    BEC: 78
    REG: 75

    DONE-ZO!!!!!!!!

My experience was opposite. I thought I failed because I had no idea what was going on with the MC. The sims were good with me because they were FAR-related and I'm good at FAR concepts. I'm still convinced I only passed bc of the SIMS. Audit is just something that never made sense to me

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 76 (phew)
    BEC - 88
    REG - 77

    DONE!

“There was one time when I absolutely knew I passed because the exam was too easy. I ended up getting a 73…”

While passing an exam after thinking you failed is a cool treat. the opposite situation would CRUSH my motivation. I am pretty sure I killed AUD on March 29, but if it ends up being <75….ugh……UGH.

I felt I had a 50/50 shot at AUD. I knew I aced the MC but I knew for a fact I bombed the Sims.

My prediction was correct. Stronger in all MC areas except for 1, but scored weaker in Sims. Ended up with a 77. Phew.
