Not trying to be rude, but if you are really serious about opening your tax business, I assume the first thing to do is to research and gather all the information relating to the type of business.

    BEC- 59│70│ 71 │78!

You are starting a business in the 2016 tax season but not a tax business, right?

Assuming that you are starting a small business, then it would be a good idea to pay a CPA, who specializes in small businesses and small business taxes, for a consultation and then go from there. Many CPA firms (large and small) provide such a service. I believe that H&R Block is starting a new small business service as well.

The reason why you should get a consultation before moving forward is because some people start businesses from home where they are their own employee, and others open a location that has employees. It is even possible that you'll find out that your small business is considered a hobby. Regardless, they all create a tax impact that gets too complex for a layman to figure out without help from an expert.
