Fingerprint scanning problem @ Prometric

Yesterday after signing out of the testing center after my REG exam, I was walking out the exit and the proctor yelled for me to come back and I had to scan my finger print 3 more times to get the right “me” to come up in their computer. The first several tries were bringing up the wrong person, and luckily she realized this before letting me leave. This completely freaked me out and made me seriously question this system of theirs. Anyone have a similar experience?!?! I’m almost concerned I need to contact someone to make sure my results got sent ok. I’m sure it’ll be fine, because it showed all my correct info & picture on the screen when I sat down at my computer station to start my exam, so obviously my NTS/launch code was matching up. Has anyone ever had a similar experience and did you do anything about it?

You should definitely contact customer care using the info on the confirmation they gave you. That way, if there turn out to be any issues, you've already covered the bases by doing your part. But hopefully it will be fine.

You have a time limit– 5 days, maybe? It's on the paper.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to document this issue to keep it on file, but If they let you go, I'm sure you'll be okay.

After my REG exam, the proctor told me no results were coming up on his computer. I had to wait like 30 minutes while they figured out what was wrong. Everything ended up going well, though.

In my last exam experience I sat through more Prometric problems than I can count – overall result was a one and a half hour delay and several pictures/fingerprint scans on the way in and on the way out. Everything still went through okay. Definitely document the issue just in case, but, like @005 said, if they let you go, you're probably okay.

I had the same thing happen during check in. I found out that Prometric uses a 3 point match to make sure the right person is taking the test. There are thousands of points on a fingerprint and they only use 3. It takes 10 to consider someone a suspect and 15 to get a warrant. I called NASBA and they wouldn't tell me if my exam had been submitted, so I called the state board. They told me that my exam was submitted and that it was the right test. Call your state board and tell them what happened. You will get a much better response from them than NASBA.
