I just finished my auditing exam today in 3 hours. I feel I did good on the multiple choices part because I can tell why the other three choices are wrong for most of the questions and I flag 12 questions, but I didn’t see the difficulty changed.Sims were fairly hard and I needed to take some guesses. I read people saying they felt good but ended up failing and that drives me crazy, Is that common for people who took auditing before?

Let me tell about my experience:

I did AUD twice, and in both attempts, I have the full knowledge of the entire material book.

In the first attempt, I finished in about 2.5 hours, and called it super easy. I told everybody that I would get a 95. But, I got 74.

After 1 month, I didn't review any because I totally remembered all the things in the book. I attempted the 2nd one in 1.5 hours (I know, crazy). I thought it was tough even though I did it super quick. I got a 90.

I still don't know what happened. I really don't. Some people say the research question is the line. If you miss it, your score starts from 74. I don't know if it's true. All you can do is take a deep breath and move on.

I had a similar experience. I finished and 3 hours. I started psyching myself out because I felt the testlets were getting easier. I think I flagged 15. Also felt like I bombed the sims and I was pretty annoyed when I left the test. What you have to realize is the questions for Audit are almost impossible to gauge because you either know it or you don't. A question that might seem extremely easy to you actually might be considered hard. Either way I passed and you sound like you had a similar experience like I did.

I can relate – my testlets seemed rather easy this last go around but they were getting somewhat wordier but not enough to make me feel like I actually passed the test without question. I did the MCQ section in 90 mins and used another 60-90 mins for the SIMs (of which I got two exact ones from my previous exam). Now that threw me off completely and destroyed my confidence since I felt that because I failed with those SIMs previously it'd happen again. I left the exam with significant time to spare and didn't look back. All in all, I got my highest score on my final exam with AUD. Sounds like you will do just fine đŸ™‚

    AUD - 89
    BEC - 83
    FAR - 81
    REG - 86
Finally done - many thanks to Jeff and A71!

    F - 5/8/13 81
    R - 74, 2/7/14 86
    B - 74, 12/6/13 82
    A - 70, 11/4/14 89!!!

I'm done đŸ™‚ Many thanks to Jeff, A71 and Roger CPA!!!

I finished the MCQs on audit in 1 hour, leaving a whopping 3 hours for the sims. I'm one of those who will check and recheck their tests so I ended up staying the full 4 hours, but I was done in 2.5. I was extremely pinched for time on the other three tests. I think it's pretty common to finish this one with time to spare. I ended up with a good score so stay positive!

I was buzzed when I took AUD. Finished in 1.5 hours, scored an 88. Wouldn't have been surprised if I failed. You just never know.

@cycgundam your experience scares me, that's my last exam, now the only thing I can do is to wait 10 more days for the result.

The excess time most people have on this particular exam boggles my mind. Why REG is 3 hours and not 4 I have no idea.

AUD took me an hour and ten minutes while REG was about two hours. I didn't understand why AUD was so freaking long either!

    AUD - 88
    REG - 86
    BEC - 74, 1/2015
    FAR - 2/2015
