I think you have been following my troubles! I am trying to get FAR out of the way. I never expected BEC to be so hard for me.

How long have you been studying for your retake? I really don't have any advice on the time allocation or if/when you will be ready.

Almost always from my phone... please excuse my typos!

Haha i think so too. Thats what I did with FAR after failing, I came back to it later on and the strategy worked! Barely began, just been going over my notes i previously made, and about 150mcq in on ninja. If im lucky ill get 2 weeks of studying in.
Wanted to take a shot at it before June so if i fail again i could just take it early again in July, but its proving to be difficult once again!

I'm attempting BEC on Monday, then switching gears for my REG retake in the extended window…I'm glad it's all review from here and I don't have to learn anything new. Studying all the time sucks, everybody is starting to get mad at me lol

Just finished all four….and I experienced plenty of burn out….what helped me is celebrating every exam in some small way, taking a little breather physically and mentally, but getting back into things quickly as the body is naturally lazy and it's hard getting back into that mode again after you're out of it. Sometimes I'd try a new method of study to change things up, like making flashcards for each chapter and studying them and ease my way back into the lectures…

I was toast a month ago. At this point, I feel like the crumbs that fall out of the toaster when you turn it upside down. REG is 12 days away, and I've barely touched BLaw. Tomorrow is mother's day, and while I desperately want to enjoy a relaxing day with my daughter, my mind will be sorting deductions for and from AGI. 12 more days… Must. Push. Forward.

I took BEC 2 weeks after my REG test.

Rushing through the exams, I was very burnt out on REG with multiple reasons (short time, burn out, uninteresting and foreign subject, 1 week travel. Making excuses can be so easy :p).

Knowing that I did not do well on my REG, I did not wanted to fail BEC and pass it the first time.

I had to study efficiently as I could only study after work and weekend (I take 1 day off to keep myself sane, ususally on Saturday) which means I only could spend about 30ish hours.

I decided to spent half/half on Wiley and Ninja MCQ. 1000 MCQ should not take over 15 hours (slightly less than 1min avg) and I believe I did little over 1100 mcq in 16 hour mark.

All in all, I do not think you need to really know BEC with no simulation. Just make sure to get the concept and drop out topics you already know. (I only did 6 MCQ on finance. Did not have time)

Again, you do not need to know a whole lot. Use time wisely and BEC should be fine.

Written portion is not hard and test is mostly conceptual.

For retake, just go over the material as if you are taking the test for the first time. You will naturally pick up things fast.

I just took AUD on Tuesday and started studying for BEC the day after. I'm taking it on 6/7, but I'm not sure it will be enough time. For some reason, I had a feeling this was going to be the hardest section for me and judging by my scores from the economics chapter, I was right. It's only been a few days, but I just can't get into it and don't have the same motivation I had for my last 2 sections. Maybe I'm getting burnt out from studying around 20-25 hours a week since the end of last year and having a kid a few months ago. I'm dreading going through this material because I hated cost accounting and having to memorize all these formulas is giving me serious anxiety!

@mtaylo24 im the same way…family gets mad when i cant help with this or that, but when i finally make time to keep sanity alive, they want me to focus and keep my eye on the prize haha best of luck monday, how much time did u end up putting into BEC?

@mhei8116 Interesting strategy not studying the financial management section, seems to have worked out nicely! Just hope I can get 1000 mcq done *effectively* and not just rush through them. Think that will be my only form of BEC studying.

@re2pect I think its enough time if you're taking it on 6/7 but i 100% agree, cost accounting makes me want to constantly bang my head against the wall. Econ is tough for me too the first go around, averaging anywhere from 40-50% right now on sets of 30 new questions. We can do this!!

And finance is only area that i got comparable (how accurate!). I did not study much for cost accounting either, and I did get some questions on them but as for difficulty wise they were much easier than practice mcq from wiley/ninja. Not saying they are easy but do not be overwhelmed by it. Good luck with your retake!

@itsanaccrualworld, I have been studying for this thing since Feb 28. I lost track of hours, # of MC a while back haha. I hope it pays off, it is way to much info to retain. I still wouldn't exactly say that things have clicked, we'll see come Monday.

ABTX411, How do you study? I am using Becker and it is very time consuming. I am only able to put in about 2-25 hours of study per week. How many hours did you put in? I am studying for BEC at the moment and plan to test first week of July. I am hoping to finish all exams by November. Do you think it's do-able?
