I haven't read up on Manny's past issues with Human Growth Hormones; however, I have read and followed Mayweather's issues in treating women like disposable products.

Mayweather may be The Greatest Ever (TBE) boxer, but he's a first class douche when it comes to his documented history beating women. For those reasons, he'll never get a dime of my money by watching or attending any of his fights, buying any products he has ownership in, etc…

CorporetteCPAintheMaking, you're right that there are a lot of scumbag athletes out there. The difference here is that by paying for this event, Mayweather is being funded directly. A portion of everything spent on the fight is his. It's not quite the same as the owners of a sports team that might draft an alleged rapist like Jameis Winston. We can't exert much control over how they make personnel decisions. I didn't spend a single cent on my favorite baseball team for two years because I thought management was inept. But they still got money from me because I pay for TV, and the TV channels I subscribe to for multiple reasons. I vote with my dollars.

In this instance, you and I have direct control over whether we support this single sporting event. It's not like subscribing to a boxing league. This money is paid to watch Mayweather (and Pacquiao) fight. I'm specifically not giving my money to an event designed to line the pockets of a professional fighter who has repeatedly gotten away with battering people in his home.

IMO, the only way PacMan wins:

1) PacMan is not on the take to take a dive and not on the take to lose by points. Essentially, PacMan has to give it his all and actually wants to win.

2) PacMan knocks out Mayweather.

If it goes to the cards, no way Mayweather loses.
