For people who passed REG, how do you manage the Law sections

Hey guys, I ll appreciated it if someone can give me some advice on the law section
I m using becker
I watched the lectures, rewrote all the notes and read the chapter multiple times but the result is still the same...NO IDEA how to answer the the lengthy questions. Despite I understand them but when i do the question, my mind is completely blank and unable to apply what I just learn

How do I enhance my memory on the law section and what are the tricks or tips to answer law questions? Somehow I understand the tax section pretty well but the law section with so many different scenarios, I just had a hard time dealing

Please help!

Try the Becker flash cards, that will help memorize the main points. You'll notice Becker will ask the same type of question in 20 different ways. If you know the main concept, it will help you identify what the heck they're asking in their paragraph long question

I used Wiley, and I just worked MCQs over and over and over lol
After a while you begin to pick up on the major concepts.

I actually scored "stronger" on the b. law part of the exam. I think that was a big part in me passing.

Lots and lots of practice, unfortunately. Once you memorize the main points (e.g. elements of a contract, consideration, acceptance, etc.) you'll find it easier to answer these questions. Also, think through the questions logically. They should make sense. Blaw went well for me after I memorized the basics because then I could guide my reading on the longer questions and it would help.

Lots of practice will be the key regardless of whatever else you do. Good luck!

I was having the same trouble too, but then I really took my time and read the questions carefully, everything started to click. I was scoring from 50-60% to 80-90%, I was really nervous at first cause I didn't know what gave me a hard time about b-law, the long questions?? the confusing answers?? I had no clue.

You must understand the concept in order to nail the b-law section, but I saw that you read the chapters multi times, um... do you have friends also studying for the cpa and using a different review course?? It could be that Becker is not good for you when it comes to b-law. (Becker was not good for me when it comes to NFP and gov't in FAR).

Again, b-law is only 25% according to Becker and I think they are right, so don't worry about it too much as long as you really get tax. Good Luck!!

If you understand the theory, then try to visualize the questions. I draw interaction lines to keep track of who did what :D

Finally a CPA :)

As others have mentioned, there aren't any shortcuts here. Unlike other things like basis or partnership calculations, you have to read the question fully because they could really ask anything in Blaw. Other topics in REG can only be sliced so many ways, but Blaw can be asked in an almost infinite number of formats. See as many of those things as you can and keep going through your book and software questions.

I used becker and used the brute force method. I took over 100 quizzes in my preparation for Reg. I still didn't feel comfy. I didn't see too many law questions on my test so I think I got lucky.

My exam had less than 20% law questions I would estimate. Don't kill yourself on the topics, just know enough to be dangerous. Focus on the tax compliance and you should be fine.

I didn't encounter too many of law related questions. None in simulation if I remembered correctly. felt like I over studied it.

I used Becker and broke topics into pieces and nailed them down one by one. Contract and Sales were tricky to me which I thought I understood the theory but still made tons of mistake practising MQs. I took notes on questions with different scenarios and went back to related page. This REALLY helped me.

I've been focusing a lot on Law this week because I got a 74 last time I took REG and Business Law was one of my Weaker areas on my Performance Report. Had I been more proficient in Law, I probably would've passed.
