    Hello guys,

For those of you who used Becker for the AUD exam, how would you rank the chapters (A1, A2, etc.) in terms of importance and quantity of questions/sims found on the actual exam?

It might help for you to list the chapters. I haven't touched my AUD book since February, so I don't really remember how the chapters were divided up.

It always varies. Depends on the luck of the draw. Sometimes, it's 10%, sometimes, it's 25%. You never know.

Here's a little breakdown of the items included in the chapters:

    A1 – Audit Reports

A2 – Other Reports (Interim FS, Reviews, Compilations, Attest Engagaements, etc.)

A3 – Engagement acceptance, planning, and risk assessment (RMM, I/C, etc.)

A4 – Audit Evidence (transaction cycles, audit procedures, etc.)

    A5 – Sampling

A6 – Professional respoonsibilities, Gov. Auditing, Quality control

How would you rate these topics in terms of importance and load of questions one could reasonably expect on the exam? Also, please let me know if you came up with any mnemonics on your own to learn the material. Thank you in advance guys!

A4 certainly is most difficult but you could get lucky like I did and not see much of it. I would say in order, A4, (A1-A3 Tie) then A6 then A5. Sampling isn't heavily tested.

i got a lot of questions from A2 and A6.

My friend said A3 and A6. So you never know…

Make sure you go over the basics of A5 as well. The chapter is not heavily tested, but it doesn't mean it's not tested at all. Don't be surprised if you see several questions from this area.

Thank you so much for your responses!!! I'm going thru the A2 HW and seem to be doing fairly well (93% out 100 questions). Hopefully this will translate into the actual exam. Btw how is the difficulty of the exam questions compared with the exam questions? Should I be worried about the sims? Sorry if I'm asking too many questions.

I remember getting a good bit on A2 and A6 and in my opinion those questions can be the trickiest at times. But it really is luck of the draw. The most important thing is understanding the difference in the level of assurance provided by various services (e.g., audit vs review vs comp vs AUP vs consulting engagement, etc), what they're comprised of, and the explicit wording of their reports.
