How many total hours of studying time did you put in to AUD? Is 1 full month of studying 8 hours a day going to be enough? Please break down your hours here. Thank you.

I think I finished with 75-80 hours, but that was coming straight out of my final semester that included an auditing course.

I did about 90-100 and that was too much. I think you will be more than ok to pass, especially if you have some audit background/coursework

    AUD 2/2014 95
    BEC 4/2014 92
    FAR 7/2014 92
    REG 8/2014 TBD

    REG - DEC 2013 Passed
    BEC - FEB 2014 Passed
    AUD - MAY 2014 Passed

I just took the FAR portion yesterday and AUD is next for me. After spending at least 200 hours (and probably closer to 300) on FAR, the 50 to 100 hours for AUD sounds like a vacation to me…

i think you can spend less hrs studying if you grasp the sims. do NOT skip the sims, i will journey to every inch of this board with this message if i have to but just don't do it lol

Aud is def vacation compared to FAR bc of how quickly you can run through and make time for the material

Really? That's it? I just took REG and spend over 200 hours for it. And you guys are telling me less than 100 for Audit? Is it because it is much easier/less material to cover or something?

    @needhelpnow

AUD may be a 4 hour exam while REG is 3 hours, but AUD is a baby compared to REG. REG is a disgusting amount of details while AUD is basically you understand the big picture or you don't (for the most part).

Like you I studied for 1 month but I only did 2-3 hours a day most days. Probably total of 70 hours. If you commit to 8 hours a day you could take Audit in 2 weeks if the material actually sticks but 8 hours is an unhealthy amount of studying imo.

If you took an audit course recently/have audit experience: 75-100 = reasonable. If not, then 100-125 is good. As mentioned above, practice sims, practice sims, and practice sims!

    REG-84
    BEC-87
    AUD-74,99
    FAR-85

@ignacio I would have to disagree with you on the sims

AUD was probably the TRICKIEST of all the exams, in my opinion. I know this is a very cliche answer but it's all about setting targets and covering everything. How quickly can you get through all the questions in your question bank (at least 1500)?

Secondly, how quickly can you write a summary of the key ideas from each chapter?

Finally, how many questions do you get wrong, on average, and how much time will it take you to go over them again and take notes?

For myself, it was 4 hours per day for a month, and I passed quite comfortably. For you, it could be less time. Assess yourself.

    CPA - Since 2015
    CISA - Smashed 2012
    CIA - Passed 2015
