What did you think of how Becker prepared you? I feel like I’m learning a decent amount from the material but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of variation in the MCQs…

Has anyone supplemented with Wiley Testbank? Did that make you more prepared?

    Thanks!

    AUD - July 2014 - 76
    REG - August 2014 - 82
    FAR - November 2014 - 78
    BEC - January 2015 - 81

    DONE!!!!

Used Becker online. Who needs a text when you can burn your eyes out staring at the screen for months on end?

It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you're hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

I can't speak to the BEC material but I used Wiley test bank for REG to supplement Roger study material. While I feel like I learned from the Wiley material and they provided a lot of insight to the concepts and theories behind a question, I wasn't over the moon with the material. During the practice tests, a lot of the same questions were repeated and some never showed. Wiley also had subpar sims and I know that really affected my score. I have taken REG twice (71, waiting for re-test grade) and felt like I was seeing a lot of material that was only briefly or never discussed in the test bank. Although I don't feel good about my re-test grade, I am now studying FAR (in the event that I passed REG) and am going to use Ninja rather than Wiley this time to supplement.

    REG (72), 77 July '14
    FAR (74), 79 Jan '15
    BEC (74), 85 August '15
    AUD 80 July '15

Material: Roger full review, Wiley test bank all four topics
Ninja MCQ: AUD and BEC retake

I agree about Becker MCQ. I have used another program for supplemental questions, but especially for REG. I am only 15% into the Ninja questions and I have already seen quite a bit of new questions asked in different ways. I thought Becker was downright easy in some sections of their questions, which seems terrifyingly misleading.

    AUD 83
    FAR 80
    REG 83
    BEC 81

I used Becker for Reg (waiting on scores) and I felt fully prepared going into the exam. Yes, there were 2 questions that I thought “wow, this is from left field” but I assume they are pre-test questions and didn't sweat it. I walked out going “I wasn't really surprised by anything” – therefore, I feel like Becker really prepared me.

For full disclosure – I am 33, and have been working at a CPA firm since graduating college, therefore, I would hope that I could pass a tax exam. The work experience gave me a much better foundation for understanding everything, but I think Becker was great.

I used Becker for all 4 parts and passed them all in first try over 87 days. However, I complemented with the MCQ's from Ninja on the REG.

Although Becker made me pass, I would have chosen NINJA Ten point Combo if I had only known about it before hand. I read the Ninja BEC book the day of and the day after the exam, and it was more clear and comprehensive than Becker. Not to mention that the package I bought from Becker, all inclusive, costed me close to $4,000, while a full NINJA combo is less than $500. I will also buy the NINJA FAR book, as soon as it is available as I currently preparing for the CMA. The BEC book in combination with Gleim's MCQ made me pass part 1, and I hope that the NINJA FAR book, again in combination with Gleim's MCQ, will help me pass part 2.

What-so-ever, the Becker material is enough to make you pass, if you want to go that way. I just followed the video's along with the books, but I only used the books for reference besides that. Then it was just to work MCQ, MCQ and MCQ…

I wish you the best of luck.

Used Becker for everything so far. Felt fine with REG, fully prepared. Took the exam in about an hour and half, walked out feeling like there was one or two things, but nothing from left field.
