With football season around the corner, curious to hear foreign (Non-Massachusetts) reactions to the Tom Brady suspension being upheld, which is a total travesty.

Kiss the rings (especially to all the Colts/Jets/Broncos/Ravens fans out there)…..Go Pats!

Full Disclosure: I'm a bears fan

Opinion: Complete b/s with the suspension. It was freezing, my car tires loose pressure faster than that in similar weather.

Actually I am glad it is going to court. I am a 45 year pats fan, and even if Goodell had eaten crow the doubts in the league would have lingered. Let an actual JUDGE weigh the evidence and make Goodell look like a bigger fool than he is.

I'm not saying I think Brady is a choir boy, mind you. But I don't think he's any dirtier than anyone else in the league and think Goodell is acting like a high school cheerleading coach at tryouts picking on the fat girl.

I'm not a Pats fan at all, but I think it very ridiculous the mountain Goodell and the league has made out of a mole hill. Deflated footballs did not cause Seattle to run a very risky play that cost them the Super Bowl title when they almost literally had it in the bag.

As someone above said, Brady is not the only one and I don't know if there is anyone who is truly a “choir boy” in that league.

its only 4 games and its the patriots. Worst case scenario they go 2-2 and brady is in fresh condition for the playoffs because he has to play only 12 games. Honestly can you imagine a belichick team losing 4 games in a row. Plus their backup is pretty solid.

Tough times don't last. Tough people do.

I think if a high school student was conducting an experiment and measured balls the same way he would have failed. The balls were measured at halftime and were being compared to pre-game measurements that weren't written down. Also, two different gauges were used and were each giving a different reading and the ref wasn't sure which one he used before the game. And they didn't retest all of the Colts' balls to see if changes were consistent. How can you be sure anyway if it wasn't written down?

My point is its possible he had a part in it, but the case is so flawed.

I agreed it's very flawed. Since he is now suing the NFL, I have a feeling Brady will be playing those four games.

I think that I wonder what kind of question this would lead to on the CPA exam!

‘Tom Brady is suspended without pay by Roger Goodell for four games and is scheduled to make $14,000,000 in 2015 from 9/10/X5 to 1/3/X6. Brady's employer, the New England Patriots, uses the the straight-line method to expense payments. What is the entry for Tom Brady's salary?'

^ The answer is still $14M. Brady convinces his wife Gisele to seduce Goodell, takes unflattering photos of them together, bribes Goodell and threatens to expose them to his wife and the League. Brady's suspension is overturned thanks to the mastermind of Bill Belichick.

Fact: The Patriots scored more points in the second half, after the balls were properly inflated. And the Colts, who presumably used properly inflated balls throughout the whole game, only scored a single touchdown. This whole thing has been about making the fans of the other 31 teams in the NFL feel better for having to see the Patriots have so much success. I can see this and I'm a Cowboys fan. My team hasn't won anything in nearly 20 years!

This whole thing is going to hurt the NFL. If league revenues go down because of this fiasco, then Goodell is on borrowed time.

“Deflate-gate” aside, the phone thing is what bugged me the most…. Not saying anyone's perfect, but it speaks to the character of the “greatest NFL quarterback this century.” (CNN commentator's words, not mine.)

    Just my opinion though. 🙂

After Spygate the whole thing just looks bad. Did it have a meaningful impact on the game? No, and I don't think anyone can rationally conclude that it did. The question is why would an organization continually find ways to skirt the rules? It's tough to keep defending them when these things keep happening.

The Patriots have a ton of rings at this point. Between all those titles, Spygate, and Brady deflating balls, it's hard to feel sorry for them. 4 games isn't really that much considering the history of that cheating organization. Their actions are indefensible. I don't care for the NFL, and the fact that this is even debatable reminds me exactly why I don't care for it. F*ck em.
