    Hi all,

I am writing here because I don’t want to feel like I am the only one going though this….

I am a 32-year-old male guy who started studying for the CPA exam in July 2013 and today, March 27, 2014, I am studying for my last exam: BEC. I am hoping to pass it by the end of May 2014.

I love going to the gym and I ought to say that what drives me into getting this done done is the fact that once I will be a CPA I will finally have free nights to go back to the gym. Meanwhile, I just can’t…. I need 8 hours of sleep to function properly. Then I go to work at 9am and stay sat down at my desk until 8pm. Then drive back to home and sit down at my home desk to study for the CPA until midnight. This caused me to gain weight. I do not know my current weight, but I know that I had to buy new suit pants because size 32 looks like a kids size to me now! I recently bought 4 new pairs of size 36 pants and those are now fitting my belly, which is now grossly sticking out…

Is anybody else in my same situation? I am considering a starvation diet since anything that I eat. even a tiny meal, magically transforms into additional adipose tissue!!!! I am so gross!!!!!

I just want to cuddle with my cat forever, then sleep and never wake up! I feel so nasty!

No, I need to get this done because once I am done I will look awesome again!!

But then I will also be older and I will not be able to lose weight as fast as I used to….

Maybe I should try cat food… it may make me lose weight!

    I am turning mental!

    CPA exam, I hate you!!!!

I'm in the same situation 🙁

I still wear my 31 size pants around the house w/ the button unloose (the wife laughs at me) and yes I know I'm in denial.

I hope to be done by end August! Good luck on your last part.

Same situation here, including pant size… except the cat.

Right there with you! Not male, but have gained probably 20 pounds since starting this journey last year. Thank goodness I hung on to all my maternity clothes from my pregnancies. 🙂 I tell everyone that right now I am working on bettering my mind with the CPA exam. When that is done I will work on bettering my body. My husband thinks I'm crazy for caring because of the amount of stress this exam brings, but I still don't want to walk around like a big slob during this process since I'm already walking around like a zombie from lack of sleep. 🙂 It will get better! You're on your last part so you can focus on losing that weight very soon. Good luck!

    32 male / Getting Fat / 2 cats

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

I hear ya! I started studying last summer/fall and put my gym membership on hold. Wife made me buy new pants for work – so embarrasing, but its been a struggle not working out, but would rather spend the extra time studying than being at the gym. Have a wedding coming up in April and need to fit into my suit so I just re-activated my membership and am trying to get to the gym just on the weekends and listen to my Yaeger audio (so I don't feel so bad). I applaud the people that can get through this without the weight gain.

    FAR - 77 (10/31/13)
    BEC - 75 (12/4/13)
    AUD - 85 (1/16/14)
    REG - 68 (2/28/14); 69 (4/10/2014); 81 (7/15/14) DONE!!!!

Stress. Stress. Stress. 2 years ago, starting my masters program, I weighed 110 lbs. now I'm at 125 (on a very petite frame). I'm accruing with interest.

Jan 1 this year I ditched my office chair at work in order for some damage control. I now stand all day. Hoping to be done in 8 weeks. This process is horrible on our bodies!

    FAR - Feb 27, 2014: 86
    AUD - April 5, 2014: 91
    BEC - May 6, 2014: 83
