I was laid-off so I am focusing on the CPA exam full-time. I finished the REG videos Friday and and I am thinking about starting the videos for FAR while continuing to do REG questions and notes every day. I will then focus completely on REG about a week before the exam on 10/1. Is anyone else studing full-time? If so, what are your goals today? How many sections are you studying for?

Just a suggestion. Don't mix up sections. Just focus on 1.

    BEC Oct2014 - 85
    AUD Jan2015 - ??
    REG Feb2015 - ??
    FAR May2015 - ??

Stick to the one subject REG, as is popular opinion.

It's only 15 days to go and give a best focused effort.

    4/13/14 BEC - 76!
    11/29/14 AUD - (74) 79!
    11/28/15 REG - 8/30/15 (72)4/1/15(68)
    7/1/15 FAR - (70)(71) 77!

Especially because there are some aspects that overlap but have different rules, you might get confused by studying those two together. Stick to REG, bang it out, then move on to FAR

    AUD - July 2014 - 76
    REG - August 2014 - 82
    FAR - November 2014 - 78
    BEC - January 2015 - 81

    DONE!!!!

Used Becker online. Who needs a text when you can burn your eyes out staring at the screen for months on end?

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you're hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

I quit my job (with another offer in hand this the end of next month, phew!) to study full time. My strategy has been two sections of Becker per week. One day to watch the lectures, and then a day to make note cards and do all the MCQs, with Friday/Sat/Sun to finish up anything left over. This is my last week of lectures, and then I'll spend the next two weeks reviewing like crazy. Just want this to be over!!

    REG - 87 (Becker)
    AUD - 96 (Becker & Ninja MCQs)
FAR - 85 (Becker, Ninja MCQs, Audio and Blitz)
BEC - Last one! Waiting on score release 11/24!

    @Nick

Keep pushing. It's almost time for the exam.

Getting enough sleep is the key to success. I lost so many study days because I couldn't focus from lack of sleep. It was awful.

I am studying FAR. Not fun by any means. The not for profit is sooo boring.

@rocky, seriously considering pushing back because of lack of retention / start date and training in early october

That's an option. My exam is the second week in November. I'm giving myself enough time to really go through the material and get 8 hours of sleep each night while doing it. LOL.
