    Tomorrow the world comes alive, when the largest sporting event in history kicks off in Brazil. If you combine the net worth of the 11 players that will be on the field, you will get the following=

    Group-G

    Germany (810 Million)

    Portugal (425 Million)

    Ghana (82 Million)

    USA (80 Million)

    If you were to sell each player in Europe, the nation with the highest net worth will be Spain at 1.2 Billion dollars follow by Brazil (970 Million), Argentina (818 Million),Germany (810 Million),Belgium (667 Million),France (570 Million),England (433 Million), and Italy (427 Million).

    Do we have any Soccer fans here? Since everyone here likes numbers, I thought I should include what each nation’s footballers are worth on the open market. Do we have a chance to qualify out of this group? Is there a bigger chance to pass all 4 parts of the CPA exam in 2 weeks then for the US team to win the World Cup?

    Who are you supporting for the world cup.. I heard Brazil and Argentina are the favorites to win.

    Im going for the US team first, and then for Spain (dad is from Spain). I heard Ghana has a great team too.

    I love the sport and I'm pumped out of my mind. So glad I don't have to worry about CPA studies for the next month (sorry for those that do) because any attempt would be pointless. My only problem is that I live in the South and generally speaking, no one cares about soccer around here.

    As for advancing out of the group, I doubt it. I think a win over Ghana is possible (and long overdue), but we'd have to top one of the others, Germany or Portugal. I don't see it happening. Would love to, but I'm not holding out for it. However, I do expect a win over Ghana. I'm sick of losing to that team!

    Hahah – so I am supporting Ghana since I am from Africa 😀

    But when it comes to saying who will win the World Cup and if Ghana falls out then I will be supporting either Germany or Brazil.

    Soccer is big up North,but if only 25% of the US would follow Soccer, we would have one of the best teams in the World. Im not going to be able to watch most of the games cause I failed FAR, but I won’t miss the US and Spain games.

    I played goalkeeper my entire life: 1st grade through college.

    I stood there and watched so much soccer that I now find it boring 🙂

    brainfarts, I dont want to see neither Brazil or Germany winning any more World Cups. Brazil has 5 and Germany 3. If the US or Spain do not win it, then I want to see a new country. I made about 2,500 betting on Spain to win the last World Cup.

    I don't know about the Market Value of each player but I know Germany have some expensive players right there.

    But whatever Ghana is winning for sure!!

    I would love to see an African nation win. African players are super fast and talented. They have what it takes. I dont think I will be around to see the US winning it,but I think an African nation will win a world cup soon.

    I am from Africa too and even though I'd love to see an African nation lift the world cup, it won't happen. While I support Germany, I wouldn't mind seeing a not so famous team lift the cup. I would say Uruguay.
