I played AYSO soccer when I was 9 as, you guessed it…goalie. When a player from the opposing team gets to take a penalty kick from about 1.5′ away from the goal, and the player inevitably scores, you can understand why I never asked to sign up the next year.

P.S. Also a teammate (who shoulda been a kicker on a football team) also nailed me square in the forehead with the ball in an attempt to kick the ball down field…yeah…that was the same aforementioned season : /

My German good friend and some buddies are going down for 2-3 weeks. They are going to 4 games including GER-USA! I am using my parents cable account from Minnesota to watch ESPN online at work 😛 I'll be watching Germany, Netherlands, USA… first two because I am half each and cus my friend is there.

Mexico barely made it to the World Cup. If it were not for the US win against Panama in th last 2 minutes, Mexico would be watching the game on the new Samsung flex. After a horrible qualifying round, they started to improve with the new coach. I think they will move to the next round. They have a better team now.
