Hey everyone,
I am an undergrad with a job offer to enter the big four. At the end of my senior year, I will have the 150 requirement (or be one summerclass away).
I plan to stay in public accounting, big four – audit, forever. For certain, I will not exit to any controller type position (where it seems masters in accounting carry their most value).
If i got a masters, I could get it in one semester, (still) start before busy season, and be on the same promotion schedule had I not got a masters…
So what is more valuable? 5 more months of public accounting experience + $40-$45k (salary and avoided tuition) or a masters degree?
Again, I will remain in public accounting.
