Hey Ninjas,

I layed off the exam for about a year after becoming really worn out and depressed with my last epic fail which caused me to lose credit for BEC and AUD. However, after going back and forth, some harassment from my boss and having enough people ask me how “those exams” are going, I decided I don’t want to be a quitter.

The reasons I don’t think it worked out for me at first were pretty clear, for the most part. I don’t think I had the commitment it takes. I was really unhappy with my job and questioning public accounting at all. Since then, I have gotten a lot more responsibility and respected my position a little more since I am not the grunt and have relationships with clients. I was also fresh out of college, living in the city and finally made good money. I saw so many people on here succeed who were more disciplined than I was. Well, I’m ready.

So my question…

I used Becker before. I wouldn’t do that again. I also supplemented with Ninja notes and audio.

I have been questioning if I should go all out and purchase Roger. I think his teaching style will be more in line with mine and I like that he uses Wiley online. That test bank is easy to manipulate to work on weaknesses.

OR I am curious about the new NINJA method. What does it include and for those who use it, do you think it is inclusive enough to help someone on the struggle bus like me pass?

I would really like to get out of this without spending as much as I already have but my materials are now 2-3 years old.

BTW – JEFF IS THE MAN! Which is a big reason why I am coming back. He helped me out so much around the clock I’d hate to let him down.

Welcome back!!! Roger doesn't use Wikey anymore. He now has his own test bank and I think it's still new and I have yet to see good reviews about it. Jeff has a test bank which is worth every penny. I read the wiley book and used his notes. In my years of testing I finally feel like I can actually pass. It could also be that I am in the right mindset. Like you I wasn't committed in the past. Definitely check out the ninja products. I have the notes, MCQs and blitz. It's all I will be using for my audit retake.

Hey Hustlin! I think we were through this together in the past! Welcome back! I used Becker previously and switched to Roger. I actually really enjoy Roger and his test bank. I get bored with videos and while I am not watching them this time around I like his teaching style and they are shorter than Becker (and no underline this, highlight that, write this in your margin … and so on). I also used Ninja MCQs for areas I felt he didn't give enough questions. You can always try Roger out – they have a trial period – at least I did. You also get a deal since you purchased a different program in the past. I wish you the best! Good Luck!

@Hustlin I'm studying with Roger and love him. I really enjoy his teaching style since he actually teaches you the material as if you've never seen it before. He speaks a bit fast so taking notes is a bit of a challenge and he's quirky but other than that his teaching methods are really effective. I suggest studying with Roger's MCQs on your first go around when you're going through the sections but when you've gone through all the material definitely get NINJA MCQs because they are a lot harder and cover a lot of questions that I haven't seen on Roger.
