Is there anywhere where there is even evidence that I've submitted my application? I uploaded the documents on NASBA and paid the fee but now…… nothing? Sent the citizen affidavit in the mail to my state's board and my transcripts to NASBA. Do I just have to wait? Will I recieve anything in the mail? (I haven't gotten anything yet, passed my final part with the last score release)

My state's (Georgia) board website, where you can “check status of an appliation”, yields nothing when I enter my info (SS #). It feels like I just sent everything into the abyss!

@nbad – I felt the same way. I submitted my application for the AECR on November 1st. I emailed NASBA licensing yesterday and they said they're waiting for my official scores to be released, which I'm assuming is January, once we (MA, at least), get the congratulatory letter. I figured it'd be quicker. I will let you know if I hear from anyone!

ok, thanks! sounds like we're in the same boat. I forgot to mention I did everything on/around nov. 5th so it's been about 2 weeks. (I know that's not very long, just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything starkingly obviously that I was forgetting to do! )

@Will881–Hey Will, sorry for the delay! When I took my REG, I only used CPA excel, Ninja Notes and CPA review for free.

REG was my first test so I spent a lot of time on making notes and watching videos. Regarding Sims, I focused on CPA excel exercises. I felt they are pretty helpful for me.

Some of them were a little complicated but most of them, easy to be understood. The answers provided good amount of details. So I read the answers of the sim and made a notes for the ones that I felt hard.

The result turned out not bad…:)

CPA review for free was used only for MCQs. But what I suggest that if you go through a lot of MCQs, it would also be helpful on your sims…:)

    Good Luck!!!

Haha I felt the same, @nbad. I think a week passed before I was like, “OK, HELLOOOO?” I'm just anxious to get the whole process finished!

This is the response I received from them:

We cannot proceed with the evaluation of your application because your exam file has not been released from the CPAES Exam department. Once we receive it we will then send it for evaluation.

@swa309-Well, different states have different schedules!

Waiting must be easier than preparing for the tests anyways~:)

@nbad311–Hey, MA may be different from your statement and also different persons may go through different processes.

For me, I was applying for MA non-reporting license. Since when I sat for tests, I was still in my MBA school. NASBA required me to mail them my final transcript to their office and paid 100 USD evaluation fee. After that, I started received email notice regarding the status of my evaluation. @ neika822—Have you got it yet?

Meanwhile, I was kept calling NASBA about if they have received my transcript, when I can start mail app to MA board…they were pretty good!

So I suggest that if you have any question or concerns, feel free to contact your board or NASBA. Pushing a little, I don't think it is too bad…

    Good Luck!!

@shan – They took my $100, but I received no email updates from them. All I've received is a receipt of my payment. I emailed NASBA licensing yesterday to check the status (I was waiting to hear SOMETHING from them, at least receipt of my transcripts/application), but that's all that they responded with.

@Shan Congrats on getting CPA license. I am also MA candidate for CPA. I got my foreign credentials evaluated by CED. According to this evaluation I fulfill requirement for CPA. My evaluation was sent directly to exam office. Do i need to send original transcripts to exam office with my application. This is not for license but to sit for exam/ sections.

    @IB553-Hey there,

From what I remembered, I sent NASBA a copy of my original transcript from my graduate school in US since I also finished some of my accounting classes here. But for foreign part, I did the same thing as you–Let CED send the evaluation report to NASBA.

I also suggest that you can directly contact NASBA test center to see if they have received the report from CED and what else you may need to send and how long it will take for you to get the notice. The email address is as below. It normally takes a day for them to reply. 🙂 Let me know what else I can help!
