It looks like I’m authorized to take BEC and FAR by June, 2013.

From what I read on here BEC is what people tend to take first.

Now the question is which study routine to I choose? What do the majority of people on here use? NINJA? I have seen some $700 packages on Amazon. Should I just go for that?

Ehh I would have taken AUD first before they change a lot of stuff starting July 2013, I would take FAR because its hard and once you pass it you'll have 18 months to get them done and it'll be a good benchmark to let you know if you got what it takes. My feeling is FAR, then AUD, then BEC and finally REG. they'll lead nice into each other with the exception of REG which is the odd man out.

    FAR- 8/14/12 91
    AUD- 10/16/12 88
    BEC- 11/07/12 92
    REG- 01/05/13 86

and if you had to guess, how long does the average person have to start studying before he/she takes the exam for FAR? 2 months?

I used the 4 Wiley books (total of $120 from Amazon) and Wiley test bank. With that material I managed to pass 3 exams and am waiting for AUD.

I took BEC first as I knew the material and got an 83. That being said, I did read an older version of the Wiley book for 3 – 4 months.

As far as study goes – you have 6 months to take both exams, take one at the end of Feb and other in May. That will give you 2 -3 months to study. FYI it is not the time that counts, it is the quality time….I know a person at work who studied (8 hrs a day at work) for 3 months for AUD and got a 53…….

    Reg 82; FAR 75; AUD 91; BEC 11/9/13; result due - 11/22/13

I took FAR first to get it out of the way. Since my motivation was at peak when I started I figured the toughest exam could use the additional effort.

I used Becker and additional practices with Wiley books (but I hardly used Wiley). Becker is very pricey; I think overrated but does the job for most.

    @SuperJustin1978.

The time table to study all depends on how much time a week you can put in, how dedicated to actually paying attention you are, how confident you want to feel when going into the exam. I think 2 months is plenty of time for FAR. Plan to study about 25-30 hours a week and you should be fine. I think i heard the general consensus was that you should plan to study 160-200 hours a test minimum but like i said it takes some more and some less it all depends on your ability to learn and study habits

I use Becker and it seems fine to me but it all depends on your study habits and learning style. You have to pick a review course that best fits your learning style or else it wont be of value to you.

    FAR - 88 (Jul 2012)
    AUD - 85 (Oct 2012)
    BEC - 82 (Nov 2012)
    REG - 92 (Jan 2013) DONE!

I get off work at 5:00, so I should be able to put 4 hours a day into studying.

I don't just want test banks, I'm hoping for actual study materials.
