I just passed all the CPA Exams and experience requirement, so I only have 150 credit requirement left. But I missed the deadline to apply for Fall 2015 for graduate school (I didn’t even take the GMAT yet). So, I was wondering about applying to graduate schools for Spring 2016. I am a bit lost on the application process, since I couldn’t find any information regarding starting in Spring semester.

    1. Are there any graduate schools programs that starts on a Spring semester in New York State particularly? If so:

    2. If anyone have a timeline on applying for graduate school for Spring semester, I would appreciate it.

    3. Is there any downside to applying for spring semester versus fall semester?

Any experience or tips would be appreciate.

Do you want a graduate degree or do you just need the credits?

How do you know you have missed the deadline if you haven't figured out which school you want to go to? Deadlines are different for each school, so I think you need to decide which schools you are interested in first. When I went to grad school, I took the GMAT in spring and was able to make the deadline to start that fall.

But, anyway, my school definitely had plenty of people start the program in Spring. Since everyone was on their own pace (anywhere from a year to three to finish), it didn't really matter when you started. I wouldn't say there is an advantage or disadvantage to starting in Spring.

I just need the credits for 150 credit requirement for the license.

I am in my young 20's, so I just plan to get my CPA license and gain some experience, before I decide to invest in further education (MBA) because of the costs.

I saw most of the deadlines are in April/May for Fall 2015. I didn't even start to study for the GMAT. I want to get a good score to get into a good school with some scholarships to help with the tuition bill. Plus the time cram of getting all the required documents and switching jobs… I am not sure if I can complete on time.

I'm not too sure about what the requirement in NY is but if it doesn't require you to have a master's degree (like MA), you can easily have those units finished within one year at community college or JC. It's cheaper. If NY is as lax as CA, you can find creative ways to fulfill those units elsewhere, internship, work-story, CLEP exams, previous AP scores (how i got mine), CPA courses (if you used becker or CPAexcel).
