Has anyone felt this way?

With a few exceptions, when I think I failed a section I usually pass and vice versa.

With my AUD retakes, I feel good when I leave prometric just to receive a failing score several weeks later.

This last time, I was so freaked out that I cried at the desk as I was doing the closing survey. I walked out sniffling and wiping my eyes with a killer pounding headache to boot.

As with every exam I studied and tried my very best on test day; I took my time (all but 30mins), reviewed the problems before moving on, found 2 non research SIMs in the AL, felt OK about the research SIMs, but the MCQs were all over the place, and the remaining SIMs were brutal!!!

For my 11/2013 exam, I studied my a** off feeling so good when I left the center and ended up not improving my score by even 1 point. Because of this, I am so scared of even letting myself day dream about passing this time.

Does anyone feel the same way or am I just going crazy?

@G3 I got a 74 the first time that I left the test center feeling so-so. The second time I felt like I did enough to get that 75, but there are times when I thought I was gonna get 90 on these tests only to get a 76!

Seems to me that our idea of how we performed can be warped, I think because those silly pre-test questions can give us the wrong ideas about how we really did. AUD is what I'm waiting for too.. Seems like everyone I've talked to is waiting for AUD Lol. I've never done this in my life but this time, if I do fail, I don't care if they need $1,000 bucks for a re-grade. I'm gonna ask them to look VERY carefully at my test lol. I have an arrogant confidence which is uncharacteristic of me. AICPA will have to verify that I failed, this time!

    CPA - Since 2015
    CISA - Smashed 2012
    CIA - Passed 2015

I hope I'm not the only one who feels these exams, and the related anxiety, is messing with my head!

I still feel good about my FAR exam and will be heart broken if I find out I don't pass next week.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

What you are feeling is normal. I swore I failed REG and FAR, especially REG. I cried and was depressed for 3 weeks before my REG score was released. I thought I got way higher on AUD than FAR so you just never know. Now I'm dreading Tuesday's release because I think my BEC testlets were too easy.

I would love to see a survey that basically asked this:

Q1 – You think you passed and did pass

Q2. You think you passed and failed

Q3 You think you failed and passed

Q 4 You think you failed and you failed.

    Q5 – Subject taken:

Here's hoping G3 for PASSING this week.

I'm having the exact same problem. Walked away from FAR in November nearly in tears, hating myself, hating accounting, hating that )!$#^”@# test… and I passed.

Walked away from AUD on Saturday feeling… confident…? And so of course I'm terrified of score release and have managed to work myself up good in the last ~48 hours to the point where I'm now convinced that because I felt good, I've failed.

    Longest. Three weeks. Ever.

    FAR - 79 (11/27/13)
    AUD - 76 (2/1/14)
    REG - 77 (5/30/14)
    BEC - 88 (7/18/14)

    MN Ethics - 100% (3/9/14)

    AND DONE! 8/1/14
