Has your gut feeling been accurate?

How have your gut feelings when you left the test lined up with your actual scores?

I felt decent about FAR and thought that there was a possibility that I failed AUD. I am convinced I failed REG, so I’m curious who else thought they failed and then were pleasantly surprised on score release day 🙂

I was certain I failed REG. But then again, I didn't know what I know now about these exams. They're designed to mess with you.

    REG 2/26/14 - 90
    BEC 4/08/14 - 92
    FAR 5/31/14 - 90
    AUD 7/09/14 -

I predicted a 73 on FAR once and I got a 73. I just knew I had passed BEC one time, I got a 72. I was so sure I had failed FAR that I didn't even check my last score. I had a friend do it for me. She called me to tell me I was done. I got an 85. I never had a clue.

I was convinced I failed REG too but passed with flying colors. I've learned you never really know until you get your score.

    REG - 93 (Jul'13)
    FAR - 97 (Dec '13)
    AUD - 99 (May '14)
    BEC - Jul '14

Some exams I felt good about and passed. One I knew I failed, and I did fail. I thought for sure I failed REG on my re-take, and passed.

Search the forums and you'll find tons of people that have similar experiences.

The first time I left REG feeling ok and got a 73. Second time I left REG crying my eyes out, rethinking my career choice and passed! It's just so hard to tell. I will say I left both BEC and AUD confident that I passed, and it turned out that I had. I guess it just depends.

    BEC: 84 (Becker Self-Study, WTB)
AUD: 97 (Becker Self-Study, Ninja Audio, WTB)
REG: 73 (CPAExcel), 85 (Becker Self-Study, Ninja Audio, WTB)
    FAR: May 5(Becker Self-Study, WTB)

About half and half. The first time around I failed all four in a row and kinda knew it except for AUD. I was so upset about that failure cus I KNEW I had passed. The second time around for AUD I felt the same as the first time, but second guessed myself cus of my previous feelings. Score increased by 14. With my REG and BEC passes, I knew I failed 100%. Passed. My last FAR attempt, I felt like I failed but not by much, had no overwhelming sense of failing like the other two. Failed by 1.

    AUD: 84
    REG: 84
    BEC: 79
    FAR: 83

I felt like I was going to pass both exams. I felt like I dominated audit.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

I nearly cried when I got home from the AUD exam. I thought I had failed. As such, I was completely shocked when I received my score a couple weeks later. You never know.
