Why don't you just take the test? You are already out the money.

    AUD - 71, 73

    BEC - 74, 86

    REG - 77*

    FAR - 57

(I have been trying to become a CPA since 2013). only one test down.......

    FAR: 63, 55, 62

I am facing the same dilemma. For me if I take the test anyway even knowing I am not ready then I wont be able to take it mid July. I have to wait till october to take it.

I am going to do the same thing since my NTS expires 7/3. Let it expire because I am far from ready and take it mid July.

    AUD - NINJA in Training
    BEC - NINJA in Training
    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - NINJA in Training
    AUD - 1/6/18
    FAR - TBD
    REG - TBD
    BEC - TBD

    AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016
    BEC - 8/20/2016
    REG - TBD
    FAR - TBD

I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.

Don't you lose approximately $200.00 this way? Why not give it your best shot?

It's foolish not to test when you have already paid and your NTS is expiring, but I get it. I let a few NTSs expire because I was convinced that a failing score would only discourage me, even if I knew I was not ready.

Page 37 – Looks like the answer is yes.

On that note – are you sure you're not ready? I don't know what your situation is as far as paying for a ton of exam fees, but you don't look like you're about to lose any sections, and your AUD score has over a year before it expires, so consider giving it a shot if you think you have a chance at pulling it off. 🙂

I've been here too many times wasting money….I felt I was not ready either so I'd study, slack off, study some more, slack off again, and then decide I am not ready (of course I'm not ready). Several times there were no seats available so there was another excuse to slack off some more until a whole YEAR passed, paid for two sections, and did not take either one because I was AFRAID of a failing score. Well I have come to grips that I have nothing to lose, and no more money to waste, so I am seriously studying and refuse to change the date again or make anymore excuses. I realize that if I am going to pass, I must study simple as that.

So my point is cancel if you're not ready, and if you have another $200 for a new NTS, then do it. It's your money, but becoming a CPA is further away the longer you put it off. I'm sure that there is a good reason for everything so please don't be offended…it's your money that was just my little rant for not being ready.

Tnincy, thanks for making me feel better. Took me about 2 years of slack-studying to finally sit, and at that point it was because I had promised my work I'd be licensed within a year of being hired (having no idea just how tough it would be) and it was past my 2 year anniversary and not even 1 section complete! All in all 3 years since I started studying, about 5-6 years since I first started researching CPA courses. I can hardly get moving without a deadline.

For me I have been working till almost 10pm the last 2 weeks on an audit and have not had time to even crack open a book. So, I had to be honest with myself and realize that as much as I want to take the test in a week and half there is no way I can pull off a 75. So I will lose the money instead of me taking it and if I don't pass then have to wait till October to retake the exam.

I am giving myself till Thursday to cover as much as I can and see how I feel. I am going to just beat my body up and push on 5 hours of sleep each day and see how it goes.

@ruggercpab2, I certainly understand work and stuff….I was just fooling myself saying I was studying and date changing instead of committing. If I fail, I fail, but too many have passed and so can I.

But Good luck, you'll have a lot to cover in a short period of time…..cram might be the best thing to get you going. You'll know when you're ready.

tncincy I totally know what you mean because that was me the last 2 years. That is why I am going to try and kill myself before I move the test because last night when I told my husband I was moving my test his response was “not this again” lol
