Feeling tired. I’ve been studying since June 2012. I gave up everything expect work just for the cpa. BEC is my last session but I’m tired. Failed it the 1st time with a 69. Now the fear of losing credit is killing every motivation to study harder. Does anyone have an advice on how to move forward? I’m constantly feeling drained. Everyone and everything is getting on my nerve…..hate this feeling. Whats the best way to study & pass BEC?

Dude, you are SO CLOSE to being done. Remember that feeling of first passing? That is the GREATEST feeling that is hard to explain to someone. You've done that THREE TIMES already, what's one more measly little exam? Use the idea of losing credit as MOTIVATION to get your butt in gear and never have to look over this horrible material ever again.

Loosing a credit is something you can use to motivate yourself. Having to pay more money to pass the CPA exams!

I started in 2012 and after so many ups and downs I am done.

I think you just need to really study hard for the weeks you have left, completely focus every thing you have into this one last exam. _ get your weak areas stronger and go beat BEC.

My other advise is when you sat BEC last time – you should google things you saw in the exam that you didn't see in your Review course. I really looked for lots of sources online to help me understand a concept or understand a topic better. There are lots of you tube videos (short ones) that can help.

If WC is weak then you need to see focus on getting your grammar right. Make sure you have three Pghs.

First will be almost the same as the question – but made to look like an introduction to the memo

Second is where the meat is, be on topic but you don't have to be right.

End with saying you hope the memo explained the concerns they have and to contact you if they need more information or want to talk in depth blah blah

    Yours sincerely,

    CPA candidate

which topics ? you need to see your score report and see where did you come up weak and work to get it strong.

Then practice as much as you can – Repeat the MCQ's – see why you are getting the same item wrong and also do questions in the AICPA release (your review provider will have that)

Use CPA for free to practice, get flashcards and have someone help you study those too.

I agree with Kenada- practice as many MCQs as you can. If the test bank you're using (I'm assuming you've been using one) doesn't seem to be helping, I'd recommend purchasing the NINJA MCQs. They're inexpensive compared to the other review materials out there and really worth taking a look at. They weren't yet out when I was studying for BEC but they were far superior to the Wiley Test Bank MCQs for REG, in my opinion.

I only had around two weeks to prepare for BEC and I had no idea what to expect since it was my first exam, but what worked for me more than anything else was to write out all of the formulas listed in my review book and memorize those and then go through the Wiley Test Bank MCQs as much as I could. I looked through some of the past few years worth of AICPA Released Questions, as well, and they helped on at least a few MCQs on the actual exam. If I had given myself more time to prepare for the exam, I would have spent quite a bit more time on memorizing the IT definitions and concepts.

    k. thank you! I will keep working on it. I was just discouraged because its week3 of round 2 studying and my score is still is till in the late 60s early 70s. Wasn't expecting to be getting low scores by now. I have Yeager (full course with Wiley test bank), Becker (flash cards, final review) & ninja (questions). thanks I will just keep at it

I promise, I don't work for Roger, but have you considered doing his, or any other course's cram/10pt combo/etc the few days before your test? At the end of the day, if you nail the concepts, you'll nail the MCQs.
