You need to get the experience requirement met first before you can apply. After the requirement is met they will re-evaluate your credits and tell you if you need anymore. You can also try to contact your state coordinator in NASBA to see if he/she can help you.

I think I have to wait for one year to get my experience verified ! . This is awful requirement , NASBA and state boards should establish special rules for International candidates.

    Wait, what???

No there should not be special rules. The CPA designation is supposed to be recognized as “elite”. Getting this license is not a right or mandated, it is a choice. There are a LOT of us who have had to jump through several hoops to get this or even to be able to sit for the exam. It's the way it should be in order to protect the public interest.

Why should a US company who provides a US certification make exceptions for international candidates? If the CPA license is a goal of an international candidate why should their requirements be any different than a US citizen?

@koz124 @mla1169 I am not saying that CPA Certificate or Licence should be easier for International candidates , however there are some unnecessary requirements for international students such as verifying experience via US active CPA , well it is not easy to find one in my country you might find one or two colleges with CPA certificate ( old system ) or a non active CPAs ( since it is not usually necessary to be active if not working in US )

the only thing I care about is getting the certificate that I have passed !!

The CPA is not “elite” it has become a paid for designation where you pay a CPA or buy out their firm to gain that credential. Why do you think so few CPA's perform tax or other accounting functions. Also, this is the same reason why other designations have eaten into the traditional CPA work, such as EA, CTEC, CMA, etc…

Taxwave — there are plenty of accountants in tax and “other accounting functions” (as you state). Being a licensed CPA would invariably involve “other accounting functions,” without much debate.

The CPA license is not a “paid for designation” and I am sure that most CPA's would find offense to this remark. If this were the situation, you would see many people able to obtain a CPA license with relative ease. Because this is not the case, people (such as myself) work and study countless hours in order to pass an exam that is known as the most (or one of the most?) difficult professional exams in existence.

The other designations that you mention (CMA, EA, etc.) are not compared with the CPA designation. Those who have worked in the accounting profession for any length of time are well-aware of the non-comparability of such titles that you mention.

Did you really just try to negate that the CPA exam is elite by referencing the EA and CTEC? While I agree the CMA is a distinguished title, the others are not comparable. The CPA requirements far extend those of the previously mentioned exams, and despite what you think, you can not “buy” a CPA license. Obviously you have some beef with someone who was able to get their experience signed off on, but they still had to pass the exams and have the necessary education. Maybe the CPA isn't as respected as it was years ago, but for many it still demands devotion and subsequently is highly regarded.

Final thought- If you lack respect for this exam and occupation so much, why are you on the forum?

@taxwave The CPA designation is about the furthest thing from a “paid for designation” as that implies there is little to no work and the designation is simply an income stream for the issuing body. Now, the CGMA designation is most certainly a “paid for designation” – well, until the test effective 1/1/15 is put into place.
