Just found out today I got a 71 on FAR, after my 6th attempt. In December 2013 I lost BEC because I got a 69 in FAR. FAR was my last section, and if I had passed I would have been done. I passed BEC in Q1 2014 and failed FAR again with a 73. Now, today I lost REG because of my 71 in FAR. I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m exhausted, I have beat up this material and just dont know if it’s all in my head now or what. I have been using Becker materials. What do i do? I am so close to giving up. I went from 75% don’t back down to 50% for a second time again and it just hurts.

    BEC: 65 - 79* - 84 DONE
    AUD: 65 - 76 DONE
    REG: 63 - 77 DONE
    FAR: 65 - 63 - 67 - 69 - 73 - 71 - 83 DONE

You seem like me in that whenever I tried to take 2 in the same window I'd pass one and fail one.

So that said after you lose REG, how long until AUD expires? If you can, give yourself the luxury of one per window, give yourself more time for each, and get the ninja notes. Will take off a lot of pressure not to try to take 2 in the same window.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

@mla1169 – i have until 4/30/15 before my next test expires, but i have been on this cpa bandwagon for 3 years now, and I am just so fed up that I want to be done. I think I am going to try FAR beginning of July. That gives me 2 months from now to keep reviewing, because at this point its all final review nonstop. Then I hope to take a stab at reg in august and hope that all that comes back to me with enough to pass and be done.

    BEC: 65 - 79* - 84 DONE
    AUD: 65 - 76 DONE
    REG: 63 - 77 DONE
    FAR: 65 - 63 - 67 - 69 - 73 - 71 - 83 DONE

I'm taking the lid off the box! Stand back the Ragin' Cajun is out!

So you found a few ways to not pass the CPA exam. I found a few of those myself. But along the way, I found out something more important. I found out what I was made of. I found out that you can't let this test get inside your head, and it sounds like you already have. Tell that little voice in your head that keeps saying “You aren't good enough” to get the hell out. You are worth it. You are good enough. You are stronger than you think. You just have to do one thing today…. Get. Back. Up. Score release is a rough when your score comes in below 75 and even harder when there is another credit on the line. I know. I've been there. You are starting to head towards that dark place that will pin you to the ground and keep you down. Turn around NOW! Don't think about any of those other scores behind you. Those are done. Think about the one in front of you. I know it hurts right now. It hurts like hell and I'm not trying to belittle that pain. I've felt it. Twice! But you can do this. You just need to have faith in yourself. Get back up and come up swinging. It's time to get mad! How much longer do you want this test to rule your life? You have to tell it that you are taking control and you are going to do this!

This is what I want you to do. Start writing! Write down every question you get wrong. Explain it to yourself, IN WRITING. Rewrite the Ninja notes. Do this until your hand cramps. Do this until your signature is nothing more than a squiggly line. If you do this, you will pass. If you do this, you will be a CPA. But first you have to do one thing, Get. Back. Up! Show me, and the rest of the world, what YOU ARE MADE OF! The only way to fail is to quit! I know you aren't made of that! If you were, you wouldn't be here.

*the lid is back on the box and the Ragin' Cajun is secure for now.

I know how you feel. Take the rest of today and get mad. Wake up tomorrow morning, focus that anger on the exam and stop beating yourself up. That's no way to live.

Sounds like a plan. And I can tell you that you're in good company being so persistent for so long! Look at kricket and Baxter and all the others who fought when others would have walked away. You're a role model too!

Wow Kricket, thank you. I think I'm going to save that post so I can look back at it every couple of days. You need to be a motivational coach.

MLA1169 – thank you too, this is tough but you are right there are so many people on this forum going through the same thing.
