So I had scheduled all 4 parts over 6 Months. Unfortunately got hit with 2 funerals that were untimely which cut into the small 4 week period I had available for BEC. I work full time. I only have this weekend, nights next week and next weekend for exam on 8/25. I can’t reschedule because NTS will expire. I know a re-take is quite likely but trying to make best of a bad situation. Any suggestions are appreciated. I have both Becker’s full course and Final Review. Plan is to rely on Final Review and just do as many problems from regular course as I can to supplement right now.

Kscope — you might want to talk to NASBA if your state is a member. They offer hardship accommodations for deaths of family members. My mother-in-law passed away right when I was studying and I called them and they allowed me to reschedule the test in the next testing window free of charge. All I had to do was fill out a form and give them a copy of the obituary. If you feel you don't have time to study, it is worth a shot.

    Good luck!

2014 CPA Hopeful- Did you contact your state board? If so was it by phone or email? These two deaths were friends probably won't help me but I wouldn't mind asking. Either way I will continue to studying and can only do what I can do if I have to take the test.

I contacted NASBA not my state board. The person that is assigned to PA was extremely helpful. If your state is a NASBA state (nasba.org — they have a listing), you can talk to them.

You can definitely do it! I had given myself only 3 weeks to study (I just wanted to get it done on that window) and ended up only having 4 work days and a weekend due to unforseen circumstances. I squeaked by with a 75 but it is definitely possible. I would do the final review if I had it and then do the progress tests but only do it for 1 chapter (i.e. select 90 questions and only check chapter 1). This will give you different questions from the chapter and then write down the ones you don't know so you can use it as review!

Don't freak yourself out! Stay confident and I am sure you will be fine!

I have three weeks for BEC. Have to work 12 straight days (I am on Day 1 now) leading up to exam weekend. We will see. I am just going to take it and see what happens.

I only studied 12 days for BEC and passed. Don't bother with any of the lectures (you don't have time), but work all of the MCQ. Read the explenations for each question, understand why the right answer was correct and why the other choices were wrong. Do this and you will have a reasonable shot at passing the test, depending on how well you handled these topics in school, how much you retained, etc. Good luck!

    FAR: Passed
    REG: Passed
    BEC: Passed
    AUD: Passed

@Smashbox20: I am in the same situation, I only have 11 days to study for Bec, do you read the book or you just jump right in the multiple choices. I heard that Bec repeats information in Audit, Tax, and Far.
